Thomas Ingram<p>I don't use a lot of the fancy task management features in <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/orgmode" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>orgmode</span></a>, I just think it is a really pleasent format for writing documents. The ease of writing plain text, mixing code snippets, running code, and exporting to PDF/HTML documents is all wonderful.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/emacs" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>emacs</span></a></p>
dodothedev🦤💻<p>Spent a good couple of hours trying to get my head around Org Mode again. I think I can use it to get organised with work and (HR willing) my upcoming Software Development course. If I can get my head round it, I might even treat myself to the new <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://fosstodon.org/@frameworkcomputer" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>frameworkcomputer</span></a></span> 12 computer. </p><p>It's a shame most of the tutorials are 3-6 years old. It allows attaching photos, and location info, tagging. Pretty much everything you need. Ringtail Ringo<p>I've found some hints on how to trigger sync for org-files in iCloud and thought about switching back to <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/orgmode" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>orgmode</span></a> for <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/gtd" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>gtd</span></a>, but... nah, <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/omnifocus" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>omnifocus</span></a> works, is good enough, so I don't care. Switching productivity systems is a surprisingly unproductive endeavor, the benefit is the "spring cleaning" one has to do while transferring the data. Getting older, lazier and/or wiser, I guess.</p>

And to boot, I was able to export it to html with <a href="https://mastodon.sdf.org/tags/oxhugo" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>oxhugo</span></a> and create a set of slides with org-re-reveal.
