"Bussard",

taken 2019/04/16 w/ Agfa Optima 200sensor, heavy overexposed by damaged selene cell of its light meter. Expired Agfa APX100 35mm film, semistand developed in Fomadon LQN.

i decided to re-scan this old roll and to now edit it for printing small series of postcards. This picture:

Scanned on #EpsonV370photo w/ #VueScanPro on #OpenSUSE Tumbleweed Linux. Just a bit toned by hand (used the wonderful #GIMP 3.0 ), no further editing or manipulation.

Distrohopped for the longest while.

Gave a quick spin for #OpenSUSE Kalpa, but that was a bit too container-oriented, and that's a lot coming from me.

I think Kalpa might be perfect for the non-computer-savvy folks looking for Windows 10 replacement though. For basic needs, it gives everything necessary, and nothing more. Plus the name is great. 🇫🇮

Now rocking #Tumbleweed KDE and so far, so good. The **only** app I didn't find in the repos so far is KTailCtl! Apart from Jetbrains stuff, everything has been installed via `zypper`.

Doesn't hurt that OpenSUSE is a #EuropeanAlternative , but that wasn't a factor for the hop.

Okay #openSUSE, how about if you release a new Kernel you make sure you update all separate kernel modules so that I don't have to fiddle with udev rules and modprobe for an hour just to find out everything is working as intended because you simply never shipped the module that I thought won't load!

Reading man-db -> mandoc thread on #openSUSE factory ML made me feel old.

#pomoc

Can anyone tell me when the next #Linux release candidate gets build? Is there some regular time for this?

I currently run a modified version 6.14.2, however 6.15-rc2 will also contain more necessary bugfixes for #AMD Strix-series devices to run without serious crashes. And I'd like to avoid having to invest time into learning how to patch and build the kernel on #OpenSuse (only did it on Arch once, years ago).

Of course alternatively I could use linux-next, although I'm not sure about that.^^

I rarely use my personal laptop at my desk, I use it on my lap in front of the TV unless I have a specific need for external displays. Last night, I went to use it at my desk.
Hardware: The same USB-C dongle, two ultrawide and single FHD monitors as ever.
Software: Fully updated @opensuse with drivers.

This all "just worked" last time I used it. Now, I can only use enable one ultrawide at a time.

I shall dig into logs later.
