Here's one ambient piece (quite dark, especially with the use of a live number station, "Oblique") I did with this setup. It is "Pierogi Frequency" (might give you another hint as to where the broadcast of the number station originated). It was an empty message with no payload as it just repeats a sequence and concludes eventually.

Okay nerds. I utterly adore the #NumberStation generator on MyNoise.net, but I'm interested in listening to the real thing. I found a couple of sites to start looking through, but the ADHD is kinda kicking my butt when I attempt to engage. Can anyone recommend a short how to get started guide? Something that can recommend radio models (ideally without Amazon buy links, because fuck those assholes) and where to tune in? I can work on finding spoons to dig through the longer form information once I get my toes into the water. Being able to do helps with spoon generation for research, after all.

Curious station which has been broadcasting since last night on 5345.7 kHz in CW. Numbers and words in French that change every ten minutes without any consistency between them: 9, D, Toilettes, O, D, Ecole, Livre, Etudiant, acteur, Mouche ... It broadcasts at 700 Hz from the station French number M23. Does anyone know what this is about ? #Numberstation #CW #Morse

31m may be marvellous @ 8am local this time of the year, but... not today 🙃

Particularly, I'd check Voice of Korea in Japanese on 9650 kHz, and, if feeling nice, also // 7580. Only a very weak signal today on 9650, only tiny bits of audio amid the noise.

Likewise 9955 WRMI - inaudible. Poor on 9395. And on 9330, het, HamDRM noise from HM01 #numberstation, and nothing from WLC

@ordabchao23 when working from home, I was using for 2FA, it worked very well.

My biggest gripe about the is its pathetic camera sensor. I like to take pictures on my bicycle rides, so I carry around my wifi-only Android phone to take pictures. Still need to flash a de-Googled AOSP distro on it.

2nd gripe, weak/imprecise GPS I bypassed by getting a Garmin bike computer. I transfer files to/from via USB. It has what seems to be a Linux filesystem!

...But that was mostly my mistake. The tech left me a screenshot of the QR code before ending the call. Later I read the (2FA app) readme on its git repo. It was as simple as
1. Read the QR code with
2. Open the link
3. Numberstation automatically opens and is configured automatically.

I will use Numberstation over the next few days, that would remove yet another use for my Android phone.

Thanks to @martijnbraam for these two apps!
