Saustrup<p>In an interesting twisty sidetrack of events, I found myself installing <a href="https://mstdn.dk/tags/FreeDOS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>FreeDOS</span></a> on my newly acquired <a href="https://mstdn.dk/tags/Commodore" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Commodore</span></a> PC. It took a gazillion years, but otherwise went fine. Without having investigated it, I would assume the reason is that the install process is unpacking zip files, and this machine is a little slow.</p><p>Havent had a chance to really test it yet, but it's running <a href="https://mstdn.dk/tags/NortonCommander" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>NortonCommander</span></a> without any issues. The root files are named a little different and there are some new commands, but I believe their goal is to be almost 100% backwards compatible.
