Jeremy Jongepier<p>Checked the serial number, 109115, and that's from September 1981. That can't be true, this is definitely a Taiwanese version, even the serial sticker says so. And it can run on a battery. But the PCB version is from 1984. Oh I love these kinds of little mysteries hidden in such a small object.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.autostatic.net/tags/NewPedalDay" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>NewPedalDay</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.autostatic.net/tags/GuitarFX" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GuitarFX</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.autostatic.net/tags/EffectsPedals" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>EffectsPedals</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.autostatic.net/tags/StompBox" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>StompBox</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.autostatic.net/tags/GuitarEffects" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GuitarEffects</span></a></p>
Jeremy Jongepier<p>Opened it up and behold... A TA7136AP! But wait... The PCB says ET-28F, what revision is that? And what is the serial number actually?</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.autostatic.net/tags/NewPedalDay" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>NewPedalDay</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.autostatic.net/tags/GuitarFX" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GuitarFX</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.autostatic.net/tags/EffectsPedals" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>EffectsPedals</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.autostatic.net/tags/StompBox" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>StompBox</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.autostatic.net/tags/GuitarEffects" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GuitarEffects</span></a></p>
Jeremy Jongepier<p>This battered Boss DS-1 caught my attention. Asked the seller where it was made. Taiwan, so not the more sought after Japanese version. But the thing is, early Taiwanese versions were basically the same as their Japanese counterparts, up until 1994. Then Boss started using a dual opamp instead of the TA7136 IC which meant the design had to be changed.</p><p>So could this be an early Taiwanese version with the much desired Toshiba opamp?</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.autostatic.net/tags/NewPedalDay" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>NewPedalDay</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.autostatic.net/tags/GuitarFX" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GuitarFX</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.autostatic.net/tags/EffectsPedals" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>EffectsPedals</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.autostatic.net/tags/StompBox" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>StompBox</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.autostatic.net/tags/GuitarEffects" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GuitarEffects</span></a></p>
Jeremy Jongepier<p>Stumbled upon an old analog delay and the seller also offered this Boss SD-1. Tried one years ago and I liked it back then. Price was right so asked the seller to add it to my purchase. When it came in I was curious of course, what version would it be?</p><p>Well, it looks like the made in Taiwan version but it does have the JRC4558DD opamp. So it's a good one. Sounds great and comes with the bleeding issue which is another giveaway that this is an older unit.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.autostatic.net/tags/NewPedalDay" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>NewPedalDay</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.autostatic.net/tags/GuitarEffects" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GuitarEffects</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.autostatic.net/tags/GuitarFX" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GuitarFX</span></a></p>
Baron Von J<p><a href="https://mas.to/tags/NewPedalDay" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>NewPedalDay</span></a> but belated. Received an <a href="https://mas.to/tags/EHX" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>EHX</span></a> Nano Q-tron over the holidays. Finally got to hooking it up to give it a spin. I like how effects which react to dynamics really make you more deliberate with your attack. I've had a Hendrix bluesy sound, stoner / doom and a really gritty splattery fuzz.</p><p>And when you need that extra push over the cliff, it goes to eleven so is one louder than a regular fuzz pedal 🤣</p>
sk3w<p>Just swapped in a Dig, and I'm super happy with this iteration of the small pedalboard right now</p><p><a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/NewPedalDay" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>NewPedalDay</span></a> <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/pedalboard" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>pedalboard</span></a> <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/guitar" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>guitar</span></a></p>

mattesque<p>it's a <a href="https://sunny.garden/tags/newpedalday" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>newpedalday</span></a> again. Eventide Space pedal now part of the collection. Already started a new ambient track with it. Which actually means my next ambient album isn't actually that far off.</p>
Andrulian<p>Been doing really well not looking at pedals for a while but looked on FB marketplace last week and saw this. </p><p>£15 delivered! </p><p>I did point out it was worth a lot more but as the seller just wanted rid and appreciated my honesty I got a proper bargain. </p><p><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/newpedalday" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>newpedalday</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/npd" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>npd</span></a></p>
mattesque<p>New pedal day. Can't wait to try it out on my bass. Doom is upon me. maybe another noise album in my future.</p><p>Audio Surplus Effects Ok Doomer. </p><p><a href="https://sunny.garden/tags/guitarpedals" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>guitarpedals</span></a> <a href="https://sunny.garden/tags/newpedalday" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>newpedalday</span></a></p>
Andrulian<p>Ok, so maybe not the most exciting of pedals but it's very useful for toneshaping, can also be a sort of boost, do lo-fi and act a bit like a basic filter. Useful for a multi-fx that tends to colour or darken some effects a bit too much and synths too. </p><p>Been looking for one of these for a while and managed to get it for £10 off Facebook!</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/npd" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>npd</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/newpedalday" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>newpedalday</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/guitarpedal" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>guitarpedal</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/EQ" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>EQ</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/caline" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>caline</span></a></p>
davisnation<p>I am pretty stoked to have gotten a new pedal board and a Cry Baby for Christmas. Now I can get my pedals off the floor. If only my skill matched the gear:) <a href="https://mastodon.world/tags/newpedalday" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>newpedalday</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.world/tags/npd" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>npd</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.world/tags/guitar" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>guitar</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.world/tags/Christmas" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Christmas</span></a></p>
