They offer an appointment slot of 8am (8 minutes away oooh!) to 1pm, but are unable to state a precise arrival time within that window thanks to the way their engineer job control system is set up, which I strongly suspect is a system of straws in a cup.

Just for fun, when do we think they'll arrive?

#NewInternet

- - -
* Small note (as in smaller font) for non UK peeps. We have a weird setup where British Telecom [BT] own all the infrastructure (other Fibre networks are available, but way smaller) but were forced in 2005/6 to open up to other providers to create a more competitive market. BT then created the supposedly Independent Openreach to facilitate this. This means that no matter what provider you pick (Unless Virgin or someone like Cityfibre), it's Openreach who come and install and come to fix when things break. Fun! I wouldn't take a service directly from BT if you paid me (TalkTalk can GTFO as well); this time around I've plumped for PlusNet, a decent, small operator I've used before whose only really criticism is their annoying tendency to pretend to be from Yorkshire hoping you'll be fooled into thinking they're plain-spoken and trustworthy instead of that just being Marketing to cover up the fact they're a Company and not a Person (See also: GiffGaff).
