Anyone here regularly using #NetNewsWire with #VoiceOver on a Mac or iOS?

I’ve been building a theme for NetNewsWire that goes to some trouble to consistently provide a h1 heading in a main landmark. Would be encouraging to know if this provides any real practical benefit!

Please let me know if you would be willing to install a prototype and provide me some feedback 🙏 #a11y

#NetNewsWire iOS protip/TIL: If you get prompted to allow pasting every time you try adding a feed URL that you copied from e.g. Safari to NNW, you can change a setting to always allow this and skip the prompt.

On iOS 18, go to Settings > Apps > NetNewsWire Past from Other Apps and change it to "Allow".

Facebook alternatives (an incomplete list): With a lot of people talking about leaving Facebook and other Meta properties, but also often expressing frustration with the most popular other options not having the same functionality, I started thinking about what could be done, where, and how. Here are my initial thoughts. michaelhans.com/eclecticism/?p

I switched from #Feedly to #NetNewsWire today. I have used Feedly as my RSS reader since it started and have paid for Pro for years. But as they added AI and other stuff I didn’t need, I yearned for a simple reader that would sync across devices. Set up NNW in a couple of minutes with syncing via iCloud, loved it. Cancelled my Feedly renewal.

A big thank you to the person in my timeline who alerted me to the fact that NNW is now FOSS (of course I can’t find the post now to credit you).
