Before mobile games and dopamine-fueled scroll sessions, there was Neopets—a magical land called Neopia where we fed digital creatures, played Flash games for Neopoints, and dreamed of getting rare paint brushes to customize our pets.

It is a plushie's job to be loved, and Polyfillia takes her job very seriously.

Across Neopia, when a child is hurt and scared, when they feel lonely and rejected, when they're at their lowest point, when they retreat to the space they feel safest, they sometimes find a visitor waiting for them. Someone who will accept them for who they are, even if no one else does. Someone they can trust, who will listen to them and be a shoulder to cry on.

Because everyone deserves a friend who understands them. Everyone deserves to be loved. And everyone deserves someone they can love back.

beautiful thing about #Neopets (and my favorite type of neopet, the humble Aisha) is it's a 25 year old game and I'm still discovering weird esoteric aishas in there. This is Li-Sha she was added to the site in the year 2000 as a virtual trading card and she's some kind of crazy sphinx angel thing. HUGE fan.

It took me 22 years but I finally unlocked the Lab Ray in #Neopets because a kind soul donated me the rest of the secret laboratory map pieces!!!!

Something changed in the #Neopets backend where it no longer can tell if someone has listed their gender on their profile and, as a result, is blocking everyone from a ton of site features, including the flash games.

You know, normal stuff.
