We found an open Zoo in the middle of nowhere - videos.trom.tf/w/qxr8J6LgSJG56…

Japanese chickens, emus, exotic birds, llamas, dear...we came across this weird zoo-like place. We still do not know why it was there and what's up with it. Perhaps to showcase people these exotic animals. But is it ok to keep them there in a closed space?

On the other hand I, Tio, recognize the irony in the fact that I buy meat and put in the freezer. These are dead animals. But I have severe digestive issues and I can only eat a few things. Meat is one of them unfortunately. I wish this was not the case.

But well, it was an interesting and in a way weird experience for us to see this "zoo". We spent a night there.

Who of you lives in the northern US or Canada and has land on which we can park the Vulpibus for a little while until we get our shit together?

It's a big ask I know, but this is a huge need with massive consequences for us and those we will help. We can't stay on truckstops and campsites much longer.

Isla del Zujar is probably a popular place in the summer, but off season it is totally deserted. And no phone service at all. But we had plenty of solar power and satellite internet so we could stay for many days there. It was very relaxing, quiet, dark, and some hiking places near by. So nice!

Masatrigo looks like a volcano, but it is just a beautifully shaped hill with a roundabout around it. It looks so cool from afar, and the entire area is actually super beautiful. But it has been raining in Spain for many weeks and the soil/grass was very wet. We parked in a not so very steep place, but it was enough to get us totally stuck.

Luckily a very nice old man came to our rescue.

Nice new tap fitted to the motorhome. Pull-out vege washer etc. I was going to buy a cheaper one but it was chrome plastic and this one was on special for $90, down from $167, and it's chromed stainless. Had to but a couple of plumbing adaptors because, motorhome 🙄, but it all worked out OK.

The 22-year-old old flick-mixer was well past its prime. One can only repair them so many times, unlike a good old-fashioned brass tap.

Just a vege-washer type tap fitted to a black bench top next to a stainless steel sink.

Main battery 0%....too many rainy days. But we installed CalyxOS :) - videos.trom.tf/w/asjsM5fDvnZfY…

We stayed in a paid parking in Almaden to wait for the bad weather to go away. We were so sick of the so many rainy days. Even our batteries were drained.

On the positive side we installed CalyxOS on the new but old phone we got for Sasha. CalyxOS is a trade-free phone operating system - see calyxos.org/. No ads, no Google crap, nothing like that. And we explain how we did it.

Today has been a productive day with the #Vulpibus bed #woodwork. I'm making four triangular brackets with three pieces of pallet wood each, using some basic #joinery techniques to make them stronger without making them too bulky or heavy. The jigsaw was bought from Harbor Freight for a sensible price and I'm using solar power and hand tools.

These brackets will be part of what holds up the bunk bed in the back.

To keep the Vulpibus progressing, your help is very much needed. We're in strong need of engine maintenance, a towing dolly, LiFePO4 bluetooth monitored batteries and some plumbing fittings. I also have debts to cover including the IRS.

I've got a little bit of paid work tomorrow but it's only going to scratch the surface of our needs.

Can we raise $600 by next week?

The pieces of wood are in various stages of being chiselled and cut to shape, using the forklift gaps as arches to spread weight and as notches to rest the diagonals of the triangular bracket shapes on.

Lots of dying fish in this lake - videos.trom.tf/w/bv3rpVt3GQWZ8…

PLAYA DE LA COLADA: This was a beautiful yet kinda creepy place because we found a LOT of fish dying and it looked really weird. Not a water you want to go swim into. We solved the mystery later on when we red more about the place... Except that, we had a good time there and the scenery was really nice. We even did some nigthtime timelapse.
