Blair FrandeenSo the next thing is to start using keyboard shortcuts to switch browser tabs. Ctrl+num on most browsers and operating systems (although weirdly it's alt+num on Ubuntu). I'm already using my zsa <a href="https://recurse.social/tags/moonlander" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#moonlander</a> to make shortcuts, so that all applications are an easy chord with my left hand. My thumb switches to my navigation layer, and the most common applications are keys QWERTG mapped to meta+(1-6).

m@thias.hellqui.st :verified-skull: After 1 week with the new keyboard at home, my view still stands. The new one is a lovely keyboard, and it really feels great to type on. However, it can not compete with my Moonlander when it comes to flexibility and configurability. The Moonlander is the best keyboard I have ever used. Expensive, but great. The Moonlander also has just enough keys for those of us that use a non-english typeset on a regular basis.Also, as a side-note, and as a touch typer, I have gotten really used to the Moonlander being columnar instead of using a traditional layout. The “traditional” layout made sense back in the days of mechanical typewriters, where the typeset arms weren’t supposed to be able to tangle themselves up if you typed “too fast”. Went for a QMK Keychron keyboard which is lovely in itself, but trying things out I am now holding a completely new appreciation for ZSA’s firmware configurator, which is what I use to configure the Moonlander. It is MILES ahead of the QMK/VIA configurator. I had no idea. I thought the ZSA configurator, being based on QMK, would be similar to what I could expect for any QMK keyboard. Yes, I know.)This didn't work out, and I stuck with my beat-up, external Thinkpad Keyboard and regular German QWERTZ layout, because who cares, in the end.My brain, that’s who. Plugged in the Moonlander, now my fingers want to type Neo2 😭
