Good interview with Novara Media's Ash Sarkar on the launch of her new book, 'Minority Rule'. I saw her at a public meeting in Derby a few years ago before she became famous. She was a superb, analytical speaker even then, without the need to be wary.

A senator from California represents more than 39 million residents; from Wyoming, less than 577,000. But both states have the same number of votes in the U.S. Senate.

It's even worse. California has a greater population than the smallest 21 (of 50) states combined.

Republicans invest a lot of money and time in smoke and mirrors to distract Americans from the fact that they’ve only grabbed power through #MinorityRule the last 30 years.

Democrats can counter it by being bold: shine a light on it and talk about it. Don’t shy away from it. Don’t give into fear tactics. Don’t feed the doom machine.

We’re stronger standing together because quite simply there are more of us than them. When we all do our part, we win.

It’s a mind game at heart.
