Taz PoltorakToday is the international day of finding lost buttons. I went <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/metaldetecting" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#metaldetecting</a> and was finding buttons and military uniform fastenings, until we were told to get off the field because someone had found a live granade. Fun times.There's writing on some of the stuff that I found. I'll clean it up and post photos later. I have never found so many buttons in one place before. I mean, what were they doing that all the buttons came off? Fertilising the fields?
