Haha what a piece of shit. I have to use a child account on the #MetaQuest to require my kids to ask permission before downloading a game, but sharing games between accounts isn't working (meaning it's trying to get me to pay for a game I already bought on the admin account) and in addition, stuff like music packs (which again I already bought) can't be used on child accounts, so if Aeden wants to play anything besides the base sets, I have to switch the headset to my admin account,defeating the purpose (: Also anything purchased in a game on the admin account isn't shared with the child account, ie cosmetics in Gorilla Tag, so everything my kid unlocked in the admin account isn't there in kids' account.

Essentially, "child accounts" on the Quest are fucking useless.

We all know that Facebook is corrupt as hell, but how is it profitable to be so fucking obvious about it???

Meta Quest Didn’t Save VR Market, But Glasses May Take Over

VR headsets are out, and AR glasses are in. Research from analysis firm Counterpoint shows that the global VR shipments trended down through 2024 despite proliferation cheap headsets like the Meta Quest 3s. Worse, VR sales numbers may not improve any time soon. The next step for these companies are glasses—with or without augmented reality capabilities. Big tech now needs to convince consumers thin glasses filled to the brim with AI are better than shoving a heavy piece of plastic on their noggins.

What does a spatial interface for a mini-golf game feel like? How does interaction design shift when you’re no longer bound to a screen? As a designer, diving into Xcode and SwiftUI felt like a tricky shot from the bunker, so discovering ordinary objects — essentially Figma for spatial experiences — was a total game-changer. A huge thanks to Gregor Finger for the test drive! The real-time collaboration and no-code prototyping make it a brilliant tool for quickly testing ideas.
