On the http://www.tutormentorexchange.net I hosts lists of #Chicago #tutor #mentor program accounts on various social media platforms, to help volunteers, parents & donors find them. No list for BlueSky since I can't find many here yet.
In my #Tutor #Mentor post I pointed to what I wrote in late March 2019 and to events that happened a day later and over the next few years that have had a dramatic impact on myself and the rest of us.

I included this graphic in my #Tutor #Mentor blog article, reflecting on April 1st, 2019. I originally created this graphic over 25 years ago to show my focus on helping kids living in high poverty areas. This version shows all kids need mentors and to counter PROJECT 2025 we need to start teaching critical thinking & active learning skills as early as age 2-3.

Looking for #mentor who is in Product, Management, Learning / EdTech who has the values I also believe in:
1. kindness and empathy
2. human centred-ness
3. not demonizing AI or AGI (i think this is helpful tool, not a force of evil)
I haven't posted on LinkedIn yet but I regret to know that the founder has copied, ripped off, passed on other people's work as his own.
And when caught about it, he gaslit people... it's truly appalling.
I volunteered for ADPList when it first launched, being Vancouver's 1st ambassador and cheerleader. They wanted us to host events locally and life happened so I didn't reply to their requests for "volunteer" work in 2024.
I still meet wonderful people from the platform (recently connected to 3 PM's there on informational interviews), the ethics of remaining connected to it bothers me.
I will leave ADPList as a mentee as soon as I figure out how to shut down my account.

Since 1993 I've used GIS maps to focus attention & resources to help youth #tutor #mentor programs grow in ALL high poverty areas of #Chicago. I've built my #Tutor #Mentor library over the past 30 years. It has more than 2000 links. Today I posted a new article showing how others are using data visualization tools like Kumu.io to map complex data. The example shown here is a project that explores the History of Western Philosophy. It shares over 10 years worth of information that Deniz Cem Önduygu has been collecting.
