MeLE PCG02 fanless PC stick now available with Intel N100 for $150 and up

The MeLE PCG02 is a small fanless computer that’s designed to plug directly into the HDMI port of a TV or monitor, effectively turning any screen into a fully functional computer. MeLE has been selling versions of this pocket-sized computer since 2015, but the last major update came in 2020 when the company introduced a model with an Intel Celeron J4125 processor.

Now MeLE has launched a new version with an Intel N100 Alder Lake-N processor. While that chip is a few years old at this point, it should still bring a nice boost in CPU and graphics performance over the even-older J4125 Gemini Lake Refresh processor. The MeLE PCG02 is available now from AliExpress for $150 and up.

One thing to keep in mind is that this little computer features onboard memory and storage – neither is user upgradeable, so if you want more than the 4GB of LPDDR5x-4266 RAM and 128GB of eMMC storage that are included in the base model, you’ll want to buy a higher-spec model.

MeLE offers models with 8GB of RAM for $170 and up, and the marketing materials mention support for up to 16GB of RAM, although there’s no option to purchase a 16GB model yet.

The computer measures 140 x 60 x 19.5mm (5.5″ x 2.4″ x 0.8″) and features a set of ports and connectors that includes:

  • 1 x HDMI 2.0 connector
  • 1 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C (10 Gbps with DisplayPort Alt Mode and USB-PD)
  • 1 x USB Type-C (12V/2A power input only)
  • 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A (10 Gbps)
  • 1 x 3.5mm audio combo
  • 1 x Gigabit Ethernet
  • 1 x microSD card reader

The system also has a power button, CMOS clear/BIOS reset button, and an adjustable antenna.

Wireless capabilities include support for WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1, and the computer supports Wake on LAN, Network Boot, and RTC Wake functionality, among other things.

While the MeLE PCG02 can be plugged directly into the HDMI port of a display, it’s a bit chunky for a PC Stick, and could end up blocking some other ports, so you can also attach the computer to a VESA mount and run a display cable to your TV or monitor.

Of course, if you’re planning to do that, you might be better off with a slightly larger PCG02 Pro which has two HDMI ports instead of a single HDMI connector. MeLE released an updated version of that mini PC in April, 2025 and you can currently pick up an 8GB/256GB model for $160 at Amazon (when you clip the on-page coupon).

MeLE’s Overclock X5 is a compact computer with a 45 watt Intel Alder Lake processor

The MeLE Overclock line of computers are small systems with enhanced cooling that allow laptop-class processors to run at higher-than-typical power limits. Up until recently MeLE had mostly focused on releasing models with low-power chips in the 6 to 15 watt range, like the Intel Celeron N5095, Intel Processor N100, or Intel Core i3-N300. But now the company has launched the first model with a 45-watt processor.

MeLE’s new Overclock X5 mini PC features an Intel Core i5-12450H processor and features support for up to 64GB of RAM and up to two SSDs. It’s available from AliExpress for $385 and up.

The starting price is for a model with 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD, but no operating system. You can pay $15 more for a Windows 11 Pro license, or pay extra for configurations with up to 32GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.

At 180 x 103 x 31mm (7.1″ x 4.1″ x 1.2″), the Overclock X5 is a little larger than the Overclock 4C (178 x 94 x 21mm or 7″ x 3.7″ x 0.8″). But the extra room should help dissipate heat from the higher-power processor, and it also allowed MeLE to equip the new model with more features.

Instead of a single SODIMM slot for memory, there are now two. Instead of a single M.2 slot for storage, there are now two. And instead of a single Ethernet port, there are now two.

You can probably thank to the processor for some of those updates. While the Intel Core i5-12450H is a few years old at this point, it’s still a higher-performance processor than the Intel Core i3-N300, which was the most powerful chip available in a MeLE Overclock mini PC up until now.

While the Core i3-N300 is based on Alder Lake-N architecture, the Core i5-12450H is a full-fledged Alder Lake chip. So instead of topping out at 32GB of single-channel DDR4-3200 memory, it supports up to 64GB of dual-channel memory. And instead of 9 lanes of PCIe 3.0 it supports up to 28 lanes of PCIe 3.0/4.0.

Alder Lake-N chips also only have Efficiency cores. So while the Core i3-300 processor is a pretty decent performer thanks to its 8 CPU cores, the Core i5-12450H scores substantially higher in single-core and multi-core performance tests thanks to its mix of 4 Performance cores and 4 Efficiency cores.

The MeLE Overclock X5 has one M.2 2280 slot with support for PCIe 4.0 x4 storage and a second that can be used for a SATA SSD. The system also comes with an Intel AX201 wireless card with support for WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, but MeLE notes that the computer is compatible with Intel’s BE200 card if you want to upgrade to WiFi 7.

Ports include:

  • 1 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C (10 Gbps, DisplayPort 1.4, and power input)
  • 1 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C (10 Gbps and DisplayPort 1.4)
  • 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A (10 Gbps)
  • 1 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A (5 Gbps)
  • 2 x HDMI 2.0
  • 1 x 2.5 Gb Ethernet (RTL8125B)
  • 1 x Gigabit Ethernet (RTL8111H)
  • 1 x 3.5mm audio
  • 1 x microSD card reader
  • 1 x DC power input (19V/6.32A)

MeLE says the system supports up to four displays, which could make it an option for digital signage. But with a processor designed for 2022-era mainstream laptops, it could also serve as a decent general-purpose computer.

It would have been nice to have seen a Thunderbolt port on this models – one of the other differences between Alder Lake and Alder Lake-N chips is that the former support Thunderbolt while the latter do not. But overall the Overclock X5 looks like a nice step up from other members of the OverClock family for those that need a little more power and are willing to put up with a slightly larger footprint to get it.

MeLE QuieterDL is a fanless mini PC with Intel N100 and two 2.5 GbE LAN ports

The MeLE QuieterDL is a small computer that’s just a little larger than two big smartphone stacked atop one another. But it’s a full-fledged computer with an Intel N100 quad-core processor, Windows 11 Home pre-installed, and support for up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

It’s similar in a lot of ways to the MeLE Quieter4C that first hit the streets about a year ago, but the new QuieterDL stands out for two reasons. First, it’s a little larger. And second, it has a different set of ports that includes two 2.5 GbE Ethernet ports rather than a single Gigabit Ethernet port.

The MeLE QuieterDL is available from Amazon with prices starting at $220 for a model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. There’s also a 16GB/512GB model for $250, and the product page shows a cheaper 4GB/128GB version that will sell for $160, but the entry-level configuration is not in stock yet.

When Ian reviewed the MeLE Quieter 4C earlier this year, he found it to be a versatile little computer that runs silently, although he noted that MeLE made some performance sacrifices to keep the computer running reliably without a fan for active cooling.

Perhaps the slightly larger body of the new model will help on that front, but it seems likely that the main draw for the QuieterDL are its dual 2.5 GbE LAN ports, which could make the computer a small, silent device for networking applications.

MeLE Overclock4C mini PC with Intel Core i3-N300 coming soon

The MeLE Overclock4C is a nearly pocket-sized desktop computer with an Intel Alder Lake-N processor that’s been pushed to allow better sustained performance by increasing the power limits.

After launching the original MeLe Overclock4C with an Intel N95 processor in 2023, MeLe followed up this summer with a version sporting an Intel N100 chip. Now the company has introduced the most powerful model to date: the new MeLE Overclock4C with an Intel N300 processor should be available soon from Amazon and other retailers.

For the most part, the new computer looks the same as its predecessors, which means it’s a 178 x 94 x 21mm (7″ x 3.7″ x 0.8″) computer with a SODIMM slot for up to 32GB of DDR4-3200 memory, an M.2 2280 slot for a PCIe 3.0 x4 SSD, support for eMMC flash storage, plus a microsD card reader and plenty of other ports.

What’s new is that instead of a quad-core processor with support for CPU frequencies up to 3.8 GHz, the new model has an octa-core chip that tops out at 3.8 GHz. The new model should also bring a significant boost in graphics performance.

ChipCoresThreadsMax freqL3 cacheGPUTDPCore i3-N30088Up to 3.8 GHz6MBIntel UHD (32EU / up to 1.25 GHz)7WIntel Processor N95 44Up to 3.4 GHz6MBIntel UHD (16EU / up to 1.2 GHz15WIntel Processor N10044Up to 3.4 GHz6MBIntel UHD (24EU / up to 750 MHz)6W

While the Intel Core i3-N300 processor has a default TDP of 7 watts, MeLE has set the PL1 value to 15 watts for the Overclock 4C, while configuring the system with a PL2 value of 25 watts. While the extra power doesn’t have any impact on the CPU frequency, it could allow the chip to run at or near its top speed for longer periods of time before throttling.

Keep in mind that this is an actively cooled computer, so it’s safe to expect some fan noise during operation.

The version listed at Amazon features 16GB of memory and 512GB of storage (divided between 256GB of onboard eMMC storage and a 256GB SSD). But it’s possible that we could see models with more or less memory and storage. And since the RAM and SSD are both user replaceable, you can also perform your own upgrades.

Ports include:

  • 1 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C
  • 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A
  • 1 x USB 2.0 Type-A
  • 2 x HDMI 2.0
  • 1 x Gigabit Ethernet
  • 1 x 3.5mm audio
  • 1 x microSD card reader

MeLE says the system supports USB Type-C power adapters with support for 36W (12V/3A) or higher power delivery. The USB Type-C also supports DisplayPort 1.4 Alt Mode for video output, which means you can connect up to three displays.

Other features include support for WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1 as well as Wake on LAN, Auto Power On, and PXE boot functionality.

Mele Overclock 4C pocket-sized computer with Intel N100 now available for under $200

The Mele Overclock 4C is a tiny desktop computer that’s a pocket-sized PC with support for user-upgradeable memory and storage. Last year the company launched the Overclock 4C as a cheap but versatile Intel N95 processor.

Now Mele has expanded the Overclock 4C lineup to include models with Intel N100 chips, which should offer slightly better performance while consuming a little less power. The latest version of the Mele Overclock 4C is available from Amazon with prices starting at under $200 when you clip the on-page coupon.

The computer measures 178 x 94 x 21mm (7″ x 3.7″ x 0.8″), making it small enough to slide into a pocket. But unlike most mini PCs this size, it features a SODIMM slot for user-upgradeable DDR4-3200 memory and an M.2 2280 slot for  a PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe or SATA SSD.

It also has 256GB of eMMC 5.1 flash storage – entry level models ship with just the flash storage, while higher-priced configurations have eMMC and an M.2 SSD.

Ports include:

  • 1 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C (Power, data, and video)
  • 1 x USB Type-C (power only)
  • 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A
  • 1 x USB 2.0 Type-A
  • 2 x HDMI 2.0
  • 1 x Gigabit Ethernet
  • 1 x 3.5mm audio

The system supports USB Power Delivery and should work with 12 to 20 volt power adapters that supply at least 36 watts of power.

Mele’s “Overclock” branded mini PCs get their name from a feature that lets you adjust the PL1 and PL2 power limits for improved sustained performance. As Ian Morrison noted when reviewing the Overclock 3C for Liliputing though, “overclock” usually implies that the CPU frequency can be increased, and that’s not the case for the Mele Overclock mini PCs.

So what sets the new model apart from the version that launched late last year? Not much, really. But the new version should offer some efficiency improvements.

Both the Intel N95 and N100 processors are part of the Intel Alder Lake-N line of chips, which are basically what you’d get if you built 12th-gen Intel Core processor using only Efficiency cores with no Performance cores.

They’re also both quad-core processors with support for CPU speeds up to 3.4 GHz and Intel UHD graphics. But the Intel N95 chip is a 15-watt processor with 16 GPU execution units (EUs) and graphics speeds up to 1.2 GHz, while the N100 is a 6-watt chip with 24 EUs at up to 750 MHz.

In terms of performance, they’re pretty similar, but since the N100 is designed to use less power, it may be a better fit for a small computer like the Overclock 4C, where there may be a risk of overheating.

Mele’s mini PC also features a copper heat pipe and a 4500 RPM fan that should help keep the system cool while keeping fan noise below 40 dB.

I honestly don’t know how to feel about #MassEffect3 #InsanityMode

Still rockin’ my playthrough, already more than prepared for the final confrontation with my War Assets at 8129 so far, but however difficulty was implemented for this particular title in the series seems… off…

Except for #ArmaxArena — that shit is HARD on Insanity, enemies actually adopting superior tactics with increased challenge level, and far more gruelling than the rest of the game. Feels more like playing multiplayer back in the day when the game first launched than against simulated opponents.

Nothing feeds a hero complex quite like beating a #FullParagon #Completionist #InsanityMode #MassEffect1 playthrough in record time, your entire crew kitted up with Colossus X armour and full Spectre HMW X loadouts—yes, even the crew member left behind on Virmire—before flying off to Ilos with your true love at your side. Yet still left with a mere credit shy of a cool $10m in the bank.

Starfield eat your heart out.
