Universal Hub<p>Planned Parenthood sues regime over funding cuts it says are blatantly unconstiutional and will lead to more STDs and unwanted pregnancies<br><a href="https://www.universalhub.com/2025/planned-parenthood-sues-regime-over-funding-cuts-it-says-are-blatantly" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">universalhub.com/2025/planned-</span><span class="invisible">parenthood-sues-regime-over-funding-cuts-it-says-are-blatantly</span></a><br><a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/lawsuits" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>lawsuits</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/Medicaid" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Medicaid</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/MassHealth" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>MassHealth</span></a></p>
Clear.Dental<p>Right now, proprietary software has ruined several dental practices in Massachusetts.</p><p><a href="https://floss.social/tags/opensource" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>opensource</span></a> <a href="https://floss.social/tags/dentistry" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>dentistry</span></a> <a href="https://floss.social/tags/masshealth" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>masshealth</span></a></p>
Clear.Dental<p>Gotta love <a href="https://floss.social/tags/MassHealth" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>MassHealth</span></a> 's <a href="https://floss.social/tags/javascript" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>javascript</span></a>. They could do things like take out non-alphanumeric characters or add in leading zeros, but nah, lets put in a ton of code to give you an error!</p>
Maggie Maybe<p>I ❤️ Massachusetts.</p><p>Governor Healey just made prenatal vitamins and OTC birth control part of mass health &amp; some other medical mass insurance program. </p><p>I rejoice when I see something helping women who want to have children and who don’t want to have children. This is really wonderful, but I’m kind of surprised that someone on mass health who is pregnant would have had to pay for prenatals anyway.</p><p><a href="https://zeroes.ca/tags/massachusetts" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>massachusetts</span></a> <a href="https://zeroes.ca/tags/BirthControl" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>BirthControl</span></a> <a href="https://zeroes.ca/tags/MassHealth" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>MassHealth</span></a> <a href="https://zeroes.ca/tags/childfree" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>childfree</span></a></p>
Kathmandu<p>Seeking advice: Offline friend has been on MassHealth/Medicaid while unemployed and looking for work. Wondering if being on it builds up any kind of "accruing debt" that would need to be repaid at a later date? The application mentions possibly seizing assets or liens, with triggers at age 55 and 65 - looks scary.</p><p>Friend is hoping to be off it in a few months once they find work, and wants to avoid getting a surprise bill years later.</p><p><a href="https://stranger.social/tags/MassHealth" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>MassHealth</span></a> <a href="https://stranger.social/tags/Medicaid" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Medicaid</span></a> <a href="https://stranger.social/tags/Massachusetts" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Massachusetts</span></a> <a href="https://stranger.social/tags/Insurance" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Insurance</span></a></p>
Kathmandu<p>Request for advice or pointers to expert agencies/nonprofits:<br>Can anyone recommend sources of information or legal aid relating to signing up for MassHealth / Medicaid? <br>A person with zero income but some assets needs to renew their enrollment in the least-damaging way. Looking for organizations that provide expert help, or similar sources of up-to-date, MA-specific info on the long-term implications of how you fill out the forms.</p><p><a href="https://stranger.social/tags/MassHealth" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>MassHealth</span></a> <a href="https://stranger.social/tags/Massachusetts" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Massachusetts</span></a> <a href="https://stranger.social/tags/Medicaid" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Medicaid</span></a> <a href="https://stranger.social/tags/Legal" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Legal</span></a></p>

Somebonnie, aka 6x6pix<p>There is a new circle of Hell and it's reserved for innocent people whose income fluctuates around the threshold between eligibility for ConnectorCare plans and MassHealth plans. Why can't the state better integrate the plans (or at least streamline subscriber communication) offered between these two programs? It's so disruptive &amp; stressful to have to change plans, insurers, doctors, etc due to tiny changes to income. <a href="https://better.boston/tags/MassHealth" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>MassHealth</span></a> <a href="https://better.boston/tags/HealthConnector" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>HealthConnector</span></a> <a href="https://better.boston/tags/ACA" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ACA</span></a> <a href="https://better.boston/tags/Obamacare" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Obamacare</span></a> <a href="https://better.boston/tags/Medicaid" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Medicaid</span></a> <a href="https://better.boston/tags/HealthInsurance" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>HealthInsurance</span></a></p>
