Mika<p>There have been some weird bugs in <a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/KDEPlasma" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#KDEPlasma</a><span> 6, most of them harmless, some annoying, but this one is funny.<br><br>While playing music in </span><a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/Spotify" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Spotify</a><span>, for some reason certain apps which has no (possibility of) sound playing showed the "audio playing" icon on the app icon in the dock/panel.<br><br>In my screenshot - the affected apps (other than Spotify) were </span><a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/Signal" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Signal</a> and <a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/MarkText" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#MarkText</a> (<a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/Firefox" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Firefox</a><span> actually had audio playing, so not affected by the bug). Clueless why this is even happening lol.<br><br>Update: This bug isn't exclusive to Spotify btw, for example, even </span><a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/Discord" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Discord</a> audio would make <a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/KDE" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#KDE</a> Plasma think apps like Signal and <a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/Joplin" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Joplin</a><span> have audio playing too (when they don't).<br><br>My only observation is those affecting, and affected, are all </span><a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/X11" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#X11</a> apps - tho it doesn't affect absolutely all X11 apps that are currently running such as <a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/WhatsApp" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#WhatsApp</a>, <a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/VSCode" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#VSCode</a>, and <a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/Notable" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Notable</a><span> (not sure if there's a trend there to identify what's the cause).<br><br>I hope this is a known bug cos as with most bugs I encounter, I have no idea how to report any useful information that is </span><a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/GitHub" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#GitHub</a> or <a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/GitLab" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#GitLab</a> "worthy" iykwim.</p>
