ChiaChatter<p>April 4, 2025 @ 21:26 Good evening family &amp; friends❣️ Just as I had hoped for, today was a productive, non-pressure kind of day. Lots of keyboard time, lots of catching up (a little left to do tomorrow), and plenty of time with the <a href="https://theres.life/tags/PoiBoiz" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>PoiBoiz</span></a>, <a href="https://theres.life/tags/MaisieCurGurl" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>MaisieCurGurl</span></a>, and my Petey. And that was my entire day. Might not sound like much but it was THE perfect day for me today! And now I hope to go have a perfect night's sleep and will see you in the morning❣️🙏🥱🌛💤</p><p>VIDEO: Grocery/Meat Haul - <a href="https://chia.owly.net/video-grocery-meal-haul-april-1-2025/" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">chia.owly.net/video-grocery-me</span><span class="invisible">al-haul-april-1-2025/</span></a><br>VIDEO: EWWWW! ChiaChatter<p>Jan 21 @ 06:59 Good morning, friends! I've been up for about an hour, now that I'm having a morning cup of coffee again when I wake up I start thinking about it and can't get back to sleep hahaha! But I have other reasons to be excited today, get to see my girl and the grands! (Unfortunately Bill has to work.) That's always a good time! Hoping I'll be able to move better today, Pete brought my coffee upstairs and got the water hotted up for a good shower that should loosen me up some - thank you my Petey 😘! He also found and wrote down some Bible verses for me that I need to be praying for a certain situation - he gets up at 5:00ish to spend time in the Word and prayer every day - so I have that paper hanging here next to the bed. Had cuddle time with <a href="https://theres.life/tags/MaisieCurGurl" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>MaisieCurGurl</span></a> too, as soon as I open my eyes she is right next to me, face to face, on her back for some belly rubs and cuddles. So a great start to my day so far, I'll be back later as always, have a blessed day❣️✝️👩‍🦳</p>
ChiaChatter<p>Dec 2 @ 10:47 I woke up an hour + 3 minutes ago, been sitting on my chaise drinking my Roastaroma, listening to one of Pete's nets (I slept through the first two) and getting Maisie ready for "company" with her working harness - which I usually don't bother with - and indoor leash before one of Pete's hamster friends gets here. I use the leash to remind her that "stay means stay". (I have found that most people think they can talk to and give attention to service dogs the same as they would a pet dog - a social gurl like Maisie gets confused so the harness and leash are a good reminder.) Anyway she now knows something will be coming up and she's dressed and ready! Woke up to BEAUTIFUL snow this morning! (Photo to follow.) Looks like it will be a fantastic day all around! I hope the same for you, friends❣️🛐🌟</p><p><a href="https://theres.life/tags/MaisieCurGurl" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>MaisieCurGurl</span></a> <a href="https://theres.life/tags/ServiceDog" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ServiceDog</span></a></p>
ChiaChatter<p>Nov 30 @ 09:54 (!) Sitting here with my Roastaroma, looking at the beautiful sunshine outside. S'posed to get up to 45°F today. It's been so cold and/or icy and/or salty-on-the-ramp that Maisie hasn't gotten outside except for the quickest moment now and then as necessary. This morning as I was coming downstairs and Pete had her out I saw his head go past the kitchen window toward the back, then I saw her go ZOOMING past the treeline at the top of the hill! I hadn't heard him call her back so I knew she wasn't being disobedient, just had the zoomies. Well-deserved too! Anyway he looked like he was pretty cold, standing there in his buffalo plaid pajamas with a blanket around his shoulders, so I opened the door and called her; she instantly reversed course, of course (hahaha) and ran back to Myrtle and straight in the open door. Anyway, it was so good to see her out there running and having such a good time and getting her zoomies out! Helpers coming today, one of Pete's friends is coming over also to work on hamster stuff, I have a pork tenderloin (from which ALL the fat had been trimmed so I got some ground pork fat out of the freezer to cook it in) and some delicata squash for my meal today - planning an OMaD day - and whatever else the day holds, I let you know later. Have a brilliant Thursday, friends❣️🛐🌟</p><p><a href="https://theres.life/tags/DogsOfMastodon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DogsOfMastodon</span></a> <a href="https://theres.life/tags/MaisieCurGurl" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>MaisieCurGurl</span></a> <a href="https://theres.life/tags/Dogs" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Dogs</span></a></p>
ChiaChatter<p>Oct 19 @ 09:40 Somehow I made it through the day. Pretty foggy and logy but I made it! Had an hour's nap after dropping off Maisie at the groomer before our helpers arrived, then I ate after they left and slept another couple of hours in my chair. That's the only way I made it through! I'm glad it was Thursday, when Don has a guest post, so at least I had one addition to the site! Maisie did well at the groomer they said, she did NOT do well seeing me leave her there; truth be told, neither did I... But she did fine according to the staff, she didn't want them to clean her ears or use the dremel on her toenails but was great otherwise. Pretty good for her first time being professionally groomed! But we were certainly happy to be reunited afterward! She'll be going back monthly to keep up with her 365-day-a-year shedding from now on. They were great there too! (<a href="https://www.pawsawhilemi.com" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="">pawsawhilemi.com</span><span class="invisible"></span></a>) Anyway, I'll be ready for an early bedtime, no extra plans for tomorrow, just the usual...and I will see you in the morning. Sleep well, friends❣️🥱🛌</p><p>DAILY PHOTOS ~ <a href="https://pixelfed.social/i/web/post/620795491914203680" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">pixelfed.social/i/web/post/620</span><span class="invisible">795491914203680</span></a> ~<br>ADDITION ~ <a href="https://chia.owly.net/guest-post-from-don-elephant-snot/" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">chia.owly.net/guest-post-from-</span><span class="invisible">don-elephant-snot/</span></a> ~<br>UPDATES ~ <a href="https://chia.owly.net/all-things-nuwa/" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">chia.owly.net/all-things-nuwa/</span><span class="invisible"></span></a> ~ <a href="https://chia.owly.net/meals-recipes-from-what-i-eat-in-a-day/" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">chia.owly.net/meals-recipes-fr</span><span class="invisible">om-what-i-eat-in-a-day/</span></a> ~</p><p><a href="https://theres.life/tags/DogsOfMastodon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DogsOfMastodon</span></a> <a href="https://theres.life/tags/MaisieCurGurl" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>MaisieCurGurl</span></a> <a href="https://theres.life/tags/ServiceDogs" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ServiceDogs</span></a> <a href="https://theres.life/tags/RescueDogs" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>RescueDogs</span></a></p>
SherryToday was Maisie's first-ever appointment with a groomer, she knew something different was up, and was quite serious in the car on the way there.<br> <br> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/DogsOfPixelfed?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#DogsOfPixelfed</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/DogsOfMastodon?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#DogsOfMastodon</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/ServiceDogs?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#ServiceDogs</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/RescueDogs?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#RescueDogs</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/Dogs?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Dogs</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/MaisieCurGurl?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#MaisieCurGurl</a>
SherryAs I may have mentioned, we live in a 5th wheel on a leased lot, we have just about an acre +/- here, on two levels, surrounded by woods. Between the two levels there is a 20-foot wooded steep hill that wraps around 2 sides of the property; at the bottom is a 2nd large grassy lot on a river. Today was a gorgeous day, Pete and I were working outside (I was doing laundry in the tent), and Maisie and I did a little walking around to take photos of some of the area and its colors. We have a lot of trees that don't color here - over half are jack pines and other evergreen trees - but I think they just accentuate the colors that we do have. Here are a few of the pictures I took (I did put up a photo dump that includes dozens of others on my website). <br> <br> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/Autumn?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Autumn</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/Michigan?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Michigan</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/FallColors?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#FallColors</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/MaisieCurGurl?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#MaisieCurGurl</a>
SherryI haven't posted for 3 days, so here are 3 Maisies! I had her doing "legs" (where she lays along my legs so her body heat and pressure reduces pain) and you can see that she was looking around, wondering how long until she could move hahaha!<br> <br> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/ServiceDog?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#ServiceDog</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/RescueDogs?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#RescueDogs</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/MaisieCurGurl?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#MaisieCurGurl</a>
SherryThese photos are a couple of months old but I just put the collage together today. She was sitting in front of me, thinking about something, and listening. Though similar, each photo she has a slightly different expression than the others. They fascinate me. <br> <br> This is my service dog Maisie.<br> <br> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/DogsOfPixelfed?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#DogsOfPixelfed</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/DogsOfMastododn?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#DogsOfMastododn</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/Dogs?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Dogs</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/MaisieCurGurl?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#MaisieCurGurl</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/RescueDog?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#RescueDog</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/ServiceDog?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#ServiceDog</a>

SherryWe had a very enjoyable relaxing day outside today, with a fire in the pit and supper cooked over it. Even Maisie was relaxed laying next to me!<br> <br> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/DogsOfPixelfed?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#DogsOfPixelfed</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/DogsOfMastodon?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#DogsOfMastodon</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/ServiceDog?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#ServiceDog</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/MaisieCurGurl?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#MaisieCurGurl</a>
SherryMaisie got to meet her new "niece" for the first time yesterday, these are a few photos of them getting to know each other.<br> <br> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/MaisieCurGurl?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#MaisieCurGurl</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/Dogs?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Dogs</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/DogsOfPixelfed?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#DogsOfPixelfed</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/DogsOfMastodon?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#DogsOfMastodon</a>
SherryI just love this photo of Maisie! She was out helping me check the plants in my raised beds, and I had just called her to me; she was waiting to see what I was going to ask her to do. <br> <br> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/MaisieCurGurl?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#MaisieCurGurl</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/DogsOfMastodon?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#DogsOfMastodon</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/DogsOfPixelfed?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#DogsOfPixelfed</a><br> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/ServiceDog?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#ServiceDog</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/RescueDog?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#RescueDog</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/Dogs?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Dogs</a>
SherryI gave up my recliner yesterday. When Pete and I bought Myrtle (the 5th wheel in which we live) we got matching recliners. But it didn't work out so well for me, mainly because Maisie couldn't perform one of her service tasks - laying along my legs to ease pain with her body heat and weight - so I had to do something else. Being that I need to keep my legs elevated a lot, a chaise seemed to be just the ticket! So yesterday it came and our helpers got it all set up and I asked Maisie to show it off for this picture! <br> <br> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/ServiceDog?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#ServiceDog</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/DogsOfPixelfed?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#DogsOfPixelfed</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/DogsOfMastodon?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#DogsOfMastodon</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/MaisieCurGurl?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#MaisieCurGurl</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/NewFurniture?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#NewFurniture</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/Chaise?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Chaise</a>
SherryApparently there is a critter under the house (5th wheel) - hahaha! She stayed like this, in deep concentration, for a very long time! <br> <br> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/MaisieCurGurl?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#MaisieCurGurl</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/ServiceDog?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#ServiceDog</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/DogsOfPixelfed?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#DogsOfPixelfed</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/DogsOfMastodon?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#DogsOfMastodon</a>
SherryYet another Maisie photo...a face and a pile o' paws...I love waking up next to her, never know what I'm going to see!<br> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/MaisieCurGurl?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#MaisieCurGurl</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/ServiceDog?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#ServiceDog</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/DogsOfPixelfed?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#DogsOfPixelfed</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/DogsOfMastodon?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#DogsOfMastodon</a>
SherryIn one photo Maisie is upset because we were preparing to out and I told her she had to stay home; you can see her usual perky ears are down and back, and she is refusing to look at me. In the other photo is a beautiful park where we were this morning, this is Irons Park in West Branch, MI.<br> <br> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/IronsPark?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#IronsPark</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/WestBranchMI?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#WestBranchMI</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/ServiceDog?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#ServiceDog</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/MaisieCurGurl?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#MaisieCurGurl</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/RescueDog?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#RescueDog</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/DogsOfPixelfed?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#DogsOfPixelfed</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/DogsOfMastodon?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#DogsOfMastodon</a>
SherryQuite possibly one of the best pictures I've ever gotten of my service dog, Maisie! This face really shows her character: attentive, happy, looking to me, waiting for the chance to do something for me...and did I mention happy?<br> <br> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/ServiceDog?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#ServiceDog</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/MaisieCurGurl?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#MaisieCurGurl</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/DogsOfPixelfed?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#DogsOfPixelfed</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/DogsOfMastodon?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#DogsOfMastodon</a> <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/RescueDog?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#RescueDog</a>
