Hey #Apple... please release an updated #iPod Classic.

My wish list:

* Same size as the “thin” Gen 5.5 (doesn't need to be wafer thin! We want battery life!)
* #Bluetooth audio (needs to work with AirPods etc)
* #USB-C connection, USB 3.x (fast data transfer)
* 256gb - 1Tb versions (upgradable would be awesome but you keep doing you, I guess)
* #MagSafe charging
* #OLED screen, same size as Classic (not using it for movies, or internet etc)
* *NO APPS (please... it's a ‘#headspace' device)

Please, and thank you.

Looking for a Canadian source for cellphone mounts? Try Mighty Mount.

Headquartered in Toronto, they offer well-made and well-reviewed phone mounts for cars, bikes, wheelchairs. Including MagSafe and Qi2 compatible styles.

Designed and packaged in Canada. Some products are manufactured right here, others in China.

I recently bought their Mini Grip Cradle 2.0 and am using their innovative car vent mount - which actually works.

Can we get a mouse with magsafe? Many of us use our laptops on small tables that we have to move back and forth constantly, meaning that Bluetooth mice constantly end up flying and crashing on the floor. A magsafe ring on the bottom, paired with a magsafe ring on the table, would allow us to snap it securely to the table when not in use. It could even be used for charging the mouse as well. Thank you.

draft - magsafe standard - will the strength of the standard increase?

is it possible that the strength of the standard - like the magnetic connection itself will be improved over time or in the future? obviously not for existing hardware, but, would apple themselves ever enhance the standard so that it could be stronger to handle things like for example, the nintendo switch more legitimately

and/or maybe Nintendo themselves should sell a magsafe case for Nintendo switch with a really really strong magnet - I'd say probably double that of the strength for phones. so people could more easily mount the switch on goose neck things and similar devices when in bed etc...

Yesterday #Apple released another firmware update for the 25W #MagSafe Charger that is compatible with the iPhone 12 and later and the latest AirPods. The updated #firmware is version 2A146, up from the 2A143 firmware that came out earlier this year. In the Settings app, the new firmware is version 136, up from 133.

Not sure why #Anker doesn't advertise it, but their Zolo magnetic power bank does work with wireless fast charging on a Galaxy S24 Ultra. I even found a #MagSafe case and it fits and works with zero issues. This is really cool!

(Not an advertisement, I was just surprised this worked better than I expected)

Things that were obvious design mistakes from #Apple:
- #TouchBar (not the technology, but the implementation)
- Removing #MagSafe (people like the convenience of not killing their laptop over tripping cables)
- Re-adding MagSafe (without actually addressing the problem that you need a whole new cable to just deliver power)
- Square alignment of arrow keys (does this even need a comment?)
- Removing the escape key (it's not just nerds)
- #TouchID button that can't visually tell you that it wants your attention (believe it or not, but some people have no effing clue what to do when the TouchID popup pops up)
- The contrast of #DarkMode on #OSX calendars (eternal shit show of trying to read purple text on a slightly darker purple background)
- Everything related to #EmojiPicker (the way it's been buggy for years, the slowness, the non functional fuzzy search, the 3! distinct and horrible ways it works, ...)
- #iMessage as a whole (anyone who is a tiny bit critical can't stand this piece of UX hell)
