Andrew<p>Success!!! I've migrated Immich from an x86 Debian system to Asahi Fedora on an M1 Mac Mini.<br>Installing Fedora was easy<br>Installing Docker was easy.<br>Installing Tailscale was super simple. <br>Installing and setting up CSF was easy, but only because I had notes from last time on how to make Docker and Tailscale cooperate.</p><p>Migrating the Immich database was a nightmare!! I think because my old system was a mishmash of legacy settings from 100+ releases ago... Also, my old system wasn't on the very newest release, which in itself made migration fail initially.</p><p><a href="https://mnstdn.monster/tags/immich" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>immich</span></a> <a href="https://mnstdn.monster/tags/tailscale" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>tailscale</span></a> <a href="https://mnstdn.monster/tags/asahilinux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>asahilinux</span></a> <a href="https://mnstdn.monster/tags/fedora" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>fedora</span></a> <a href="https://mnstdn.monster/tags/aarch64" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>aarch64</span></a> <a href="https://mnstdn.monster/tags/csf" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>csf</span></a> <a href="https://mnstdn.monster/tags/docker" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>docker</span></a> <a href="https://mnstdn.monster/tags/macmini" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>macmini</span></a> <a href="https://mnstdn.monster/tags/selfhost" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>selfhost</span></a> <a href="https://mnstdn.monster/tags/selfhosted" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>selfhosted</span></a></p>

miiko<p>Ok one complaint. When connected with hdmi to a tv set, and routing audio through that hdmi, through the tv to a set of speakers, the sound lags. Or cuts, jumps, whatever you wanna call it. It's amazing how informative and transparent the video is at meticulously explaining the engineering design and component decisions behind their custom module, when I expected them to only demonstrate it, nothing more.<br><br>Unrelated note, the moment the dude tried to show an example of what an airplane "rudder" is by showing a picture of MAS's, in combination with his distinct Malay, (</span><i>Americanised</i><span> for YouTube) English accent - I immediately checked his website and Linktree and right enough, the dude's a Malaysian lol.<br><br>Good to know that if I decide to get a Mac Mini I could upgrade the SSD myself without paying Apple or expensive shipping cost. I'd still probably need to upgrade from the </span><i>measly</i><span> 16GB of RAM though on the base model by paying Apple's 10x markup for no good reason.<br><br></span>▶️ <a href="https://youtu.be/F3CYj37bxDE" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://youtu.be/F3CYj37bxDE</a><span><br><br></span>🔗 <a href="https://iboffrcc.com/products/2tb-storage-xnand4-for-mac-mini-m4" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://iboffrcc.com/products/2tb-storage-xnand4-for-mac-mini-m4</a></p>
