@FiXato My brother got me a mini TV screen which prompted me to dig it up again while I was in Belgium. Philips VG8020, here running the Herbymon machine code monitor displaying boot code, uploaded via PC audio out to cassette port.
The machine code monitor was unobtainium for me when I was a kid. I remember trying to key one in from a magazine which failed. I got into PC before I got to programming the mysterious machine code on the MSX.
Ordenadores MSX de Sony que tuve en su momento. En otras circunstancias, los seguiría teniendo actualmente. #MSXDay
Happy MSX-DAY!
The Sanyo is my usual setup, but I'm also showing with pride the Omega I just finished last week :)
Apparently, it’s #MSXday #MaySiXth I’ve collected a lot of these over the years and made a bunch of videos

Indeed, whomever buys the NerdHaven collection will become the owner of quite a few
#BeardGrabber also played #Imanok's #BubbleRain, a #BustAMove / #BubbleShooter clone for the #MSX (or rather #MSX2 I think?).
Do you have an MSX #homecomputer? Emulated or real? Join us this #MaySiXth #MSXDay, and fire it up and share some pictures or videos of it using the #MaySiXth and #MSX hashtags.
Or if you can't set it up right now, maybe share some #memories of your favourite MSX game or event?
This #MaySiXth #MSXDay I'm introducing almost-five-years-old #BeardGrabber to #MSX games again. He's probably the same age now as when my parents got our #Philips #NMS8250 #MSX2 #homecomputer, and now, probably about 35 years later, he gets to play on the very same machine, playing the same original copies as I got or bought during my childhood, which feels quite special.
So far we've played some #BubbleBobble, #Brisk and now #PinballBlaster. His #joystick and #keyboard control isn't good yet, but he's still very much enjoying the experience!
I also have some videos of him playing, but I need some time to review the footage to make sure it doesn't show kiddo's face and such. :)
