In other news, the #meshtastic node I have been carrying all week has behaved swimmingly.
Battery life is around 11 hours, maybe 12.
Its a #heltecv3 with a cheap serial GPS (which seems to take forever to get a lock on power up). Amazon delivered me 1000 2n2222s and 2 ublox GPS units to the house today, which I'll use to set up some powersave features and switch the #GPS on/off via meshtastic's enable/disable function. Should extend battery life a couple more hours, at least.
I hope.
There's a few things I wish Meshtastic did automatically, like automatically switching to the correct subtopic for #MQTT based on GPS, so I don't have to manually switch from msh/US/XX to msh/US/YY when I land or take off.
Look for AWED in the air, or on the ground, if you are wanting to see if you can ping me. I try to answer all messages with confirmations. I view that like #QSLing.
Anyway, now that I've got another 2 hour wait in this frelling airport, I'm going to get some reading done.
Hope everyone had a great week, and will have a better weekend.
I got bored at work today so built another remote co2 level (+temperature) display using a nook simple touch ereader and #nodered from #mqtt for the office . Now just need to get to grips with the 'join' node to make sure the values go in the right places in the static #html
Photos to follow tomorrow

Behold, the groundbreaking Rust-IoT-Platform! Now, you can juggle #protocols like #MQTT, #WebSockets, TCP, and CoAP while processing data in "real-time"—whatever that means.
Because who doesn’t love building complex systems with a language that demands a PhD in "why isn’t this compiling?"

If you are a #developer and need to combine several #protocol #bindings for an #IoT system, the ACME-CSE provides a great environment for learning and experimentation https://acmecse.net/home/Supported/ #CoAP #http #MQTT #WebSocket
If you wanted to build your own #localized #IoT #Android based #botnet for some reason, here's a good starting point.
Using #BLE to operate #MQTT is so countryside compound it almost makes me want to boobytrap my perimeter.

I'm extending Mitemperature2 ( https://github.com/JsBergbau/MiTemperature2 ) to add the packet counter received from the hygrometers so I can add a second receiver running on a esp32 without duplicating the Mqtt messages. I've added the packet counter to Mitemperature2's #mqtt output, I just need to add the Bluetooth sensor name so the esp32 can find the topic for each sensor without requiring a lookup table.
The custom firmware for the sensors is here: https://github.com/pvvx/ATC_MiThermometer
