😿 I just archived my Python-RSA project, one I (and a few fellow students) started 20 years ago. It's been used in many projects, including some high-profile ones, which is fantastic and scary at the same time. That's also why I chose to not hand over the keys to someone else. Instead, I archived the project, to be forked and brought to a new life under a new name.

Anyone who assembles these parts gets to predict how an Arabidopsis genome sequence variant will be adapted to climatic conditions. With a full causal chain. The mechanisms of evolutionary adaptation.👀 #GoForIt

Sure it’s simplified and there’s much to validate but it’s there. DNA-binding Kd is just where we started, there’s more known biochemistry to add.

4) Moeilijk? Dat is betrekkelijk en in mijn ogen niet echt het geval. Het belangrijkste doel zou al maandenlang een upgradepad naar 2019 moeten zijn geweest. In mijn ervaring zijn de belangrijkste showstoppers integraties van overige software die een dergelijke upgrade bemoeilijken of onmogelijk maken. Gedegen #lifecycle management en interne upgrade roadmaps zouden dat inzichtelijk moeten maken.

@luis_in_brief agreed. I am stepping off of the notion of being FOSS activist in the traditional sense of the word.

#FOSS in a new definition I reserve solely to arranging the #copyright and other #legal matters relating to the delivered artifacts of a project.

Then the real deal is #SOSS where a holistic #sustainability-first approach is taken to #FreeSoftware #development, that covers the entire #lifecycle.. from hobby #project up to foundational #technology or mega #SocialWeb platform.
