Not because of <a href="https://mas.to/tags/Libreboot" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Libreboot</span></a> </p><p>So, I wrote a small blog post about speeding up suspend/resume on the FreeBSD.</p><p>Suspend time before: 19.25 seconds. After: 9.69 seconds.</p><p>Resume time before: 72.97 seconds. E.g. <a href="https://mas.to/tags/Thinkpad" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Thinkpad</span></a> X220 with proprietary BIOS resumes instantly (tested on FreeBSD 10/11). And X220 with <a href="https://mas.to/tags/coreboot" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>coreboot</span></a> / <a href="https://mas.to/tags/libreboot" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>libreboot</span></a> needs near 10 seconds to wake up (FreeBSD 14.2/14.3)</p>

Julian :nixos: :arch:<p>It&#39;s almost 4 in the morning and I finally successfully flashed <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/libreboot" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>libreboot</span></a> onto my old <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Thinkpad" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Thinkpad</span></a> T420! I was too cheap to by one of those BIOS chip clamps so I just soldered some extra headers onto the Thinkpad&#39;s mainboard and connected it to a <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/RaspberryPi" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>RaspberryPi</span></a> with jumper cables. A bit ugly but worked!<br />Small tip: If you want to use your libreboot machine as a server like I do, there is a great <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/coreboot" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>coreboot</span></a> option called &#39;power_on_after_fail&#39; that you may want to enable using nvramtool. Quiet useful!</p>

Lol, it just works all the time :dragnsarc: Even when manual xorg.conf configuration were replaced by HAL, then by evdev...</p>
