Learned today that Libby is now tagging "erotic literature" a bunch of genre romance that are not, as a matter of fact, erotic AT ALL--like, some of the least explicit category romances are tagged as such.

And so, because fuck the puritanical trend we are in, I give you this list. (It's by no means not perfect, but it's pretty damned good)

Any #kobo and #toronto public library users #overdrive here?

I got a Kobo Libra Color last week and was excited to use it with the TPL

I have been experiencing syncing issues between the two.

Books that I borrow on the library don’t show up on the Kobo

Books that I have on hold on the library don’t show up on the Kobo

Books that are available on the library are not on the Kobo. It’s like the Kobo library catalog is limited.

Examples:

The Silo book series, when I search for it on TPL shows me a bunch of books and I have a hold in the third one, Dust.
On Kobo only the first one exists and my hold doesn’t.

The Three Body Problem book I borrowed on Libby doesn’t show up on the Kobo and only appears as a hold with a 4 week waitlist

I tried borrowing an Agatha Christie book on Libby to test it out - The Murder of Roger Ackroyd - but it didn’t show up on the Kobo as well

I eventually got another Agatha Christie book to show up on Kobo (Death on the Nile) but still think that the Overdrive catalog the Kobo is getting is missing a lot of books.

Anyone has seen this before? My Kobo is brand new.

Reason hundred and twelvty-three why I ❤️ my e- reader + a library subscription.

This book is wonderful; the more I read, the more engrossed I am.

One of the first warm sunny days of the year, perfect for sitting on the balcony!

I use my holds list like a TBR because I think tags, in Libby, is just fundamentally broken in a number of ways. I seemingly can't edit a tag list in bulk, I can't set an option for books to be removed when I check out a book, unless I'm missing something somewhere, and a whole host of other things! I wrote an email to all my libraries asking them to use the Palace Project instead. Their app is also far more accessible too! #Libby #LibbyApp #Library #Libraries #PalaceProject

Maybe someone here can help me ... a few weeks/months ago my stopped syncing from . No idea why. I can still import them via Adobe Digital Editions but I'd much rather the sync was working. Did this happen to anyone else? Is there a fix?
