Does anyone have a protective box for their battery charging needs? What kind?
My complications are:
- Long ebike battery that needs to be charged from the end
- Battery charge state needs to be observable (it's a blinking LED on the battery)
- Preferably easy to chuck out the door/window in case of shit hitting the fan
I'm considering getting some kind of metal box, padding it with fireproof material, and adding a simple camera/monitor for observing the insides.
my first #offgrid #meahtastic node is online... it doesn't feel quite right yet and mistakes have definitely been made, but that's what you learn from? what you can see here: a #nibble from wonderful @skickar paired with a 5W #solarcell and a small buffer battery with charging electronics. The battery will be replaced by a 10Ah #LiPo and the solar cell will also grow. next version will be built with a #rp2040 or with a #nrf52840 or maybe ... many thanks to your inspiring talk at #38C3 Kody!

#AllrightGoddammit this sad battery powered #snowblower has let me down. I used it 5 times I think, and now the #lipo battery has gone soft. I had to use a shovel, and that sucked!!!

Привет, Хабр! Меня зовут Иван Мясников, я CTO проекта «Виртуальный ассистент» в МТС Диджитал. Встраивание кода С++ в приложения для iOS — достаточно трудная задача. Еще сложнее собрать SDK для дальнейшей поставки в сторонние приложения, используя логику на С++ совместно со Swift. В этой статье я расскажу, как мы создавали такой SDK так, чтобы он встраивался в любое приложение без танцев с целевой архитектурой процессора. Встраивание C++ в Swift позволяет использовать один код на разных платформах и ускорить некоторые задачи, где Swift не хватает быстродействия. У нас есть библиотека на C++ для работы с ML на Tensorflow Lite. И эту библиотеку мы хотели встроить на Android, iOS, Linux под различные платформы и архитектуры процессора без переписывания логики оттуда на Kotlin, Swift или что-нибудь еще. В этой статье я расскажу, как мы заставили код на C++ работать в iOS и какие тут есть тонкости и ограничения. Я ориентировался на читателей, у которых может не быть экспертизы в iOS или в C++, и старался не погружаться в глубокие дебри. Этот материал познакомит с решениями, к которым мы пришли экспериментально, подбирая подходящие варианты под нашу задачу.

Моя разработка не предполагает ежедневного использования и сделана больше просто ради забавы, но тем не менее она довольно интересная. Владимир Анискин из Новосибирска, например, создал книгу на лавсановой пленке размерами 70х90 мкм, а почему бы и нет? Reminder: Check your lipos regularly, at least every 6 months if they are in storage. Leaving the batteries too low or too high voltage can damage them over time, they should be kept in a storage charge.
Some of these had dropped voltage more than I had expected in less than half a year after having packed them up for storage during winter.

Когда вижу аккумуляторы заряжающиеся от USB - это вызывает у меня странные ощущения.
Интересно вообще бывают "кроны" такие, что:
- приличной ёмкости (литиевые)
- заряжаются от нормального ЗУ и не тратят дофига места в корпусе под USB и лишнюю обвязвку?
И нет, я понимаю откуда они такие повылезали. Мой вопрос в том, можно ли найти нормальные.
