Available on NFx. 2019 drama that doesn't feel dated.Rom com with <a href="https://ottawa.place/tags/LeeJongSuk" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#LeeJongSuk</a> as the male lead. Cute but not too sappy, small bit of angst. 2nd and 3rd storylines are also quite nice too.

We see them try to make changes while realizing why their lives are intertwined. The ML is a prosecutor with extremely interesting cases - bringing up some great moral dilemmas.There are a lot of flash backs & flash forwards which is confusing if you aren't paying attention. I loved the investigator(Kim Won Hae), villain, & 2nd ML - all excellent. The main couple was cute but not heart-skipping.Our favorite ahjeossi, Kim Won Hae, won an award for this part. ML & FL won top excellence awards & best couple. LJS seems typecast as a cool, morally upright guy. He did it well in Pinocchio, but here, he tries to be a little silly. It examines corruption w/in the media & how it affects society. It's a gripping story about the tragedies that result from greed. It is also about grief when someone close is not the person you thought they were. All the main characters struggle w/ this in their relationships & learn they can't change others, but they can change their perspective.ML & FL both won multiple awards, top actors, popularity, & best couple. It won best soundtrack & Outstanding Korean Drama.Every eps. was wonderfully paced. Side characters were marvelously written. Romance is sweet, but secondary to the reporters' story, where a decision means life or death. I liked them in other dramas, but there was a "School 2013" & thought maybe I should watch that first. I was so surprised to see so many familiar faces! It's interesting to read what they are up to now.Lee Jong Suk & Kim Woo Bin are the leads with a great bromance. There is no romance in this series, but if you are interested in the Korean school system or are a teacher, you will probably empathize with the plights of the students, teachers, & administrators.It was not a binge, & the pacing felt rushed at the end, but I liked the stories. For a 10 yr old show, it still held up fairly well. WhooshAbout the fizzled romance:There are times when one of the main characters hasn't seen the other for an extended period of time, yet there is no mad rush to hug or kiss and reconnect. I really loved this drama at first. The story is original and the actors are great, but I felt the writers let me down in the last half. I needed more depth to the characters and for the fantasy part to make more sense. The romance, which seemed so promising at first, fizzled for me. (See spoiler comment) The side characters, apart from the father, stayed side characters and did not have their own stories, which was wasted potential. The actors playing the side characters were good. They could have easily carried a complementary storyline.It was a unique story with great cinematography and action scenes. I may rewatch at some point, but I feel it could have been better. However in W he's even more captivating. Same goes for <a href="https://ohai.social/tags/hanhyojoo" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#hanhyojoo</a> whose performance in <a href="https://ohai.social/tags/Happiness" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Happiness</a> was brilliant. She didn't disappoint me in W either.The plot makes you hold your breath until the very end.
