Well apologies for all the #LAOTY hype. Most disappointed that the producers found inane cooments by someone who had never painted anywhere other than her kitchen more noteworthy than my #FineArtInStitch
My brolly did make several appearances 😉 Here’s my finished piece finally and with few tweaks after the event

For the submission piece I deliberately loosened my style to try and complete it in 4hr (ended up 7 but I tried) The others took with 40-50hr ea.
Entry requirements state you be "prepared to produce a similar artwork in the time". Watching the heats so far I have seen one pod artist whose submission took >100hr and one who didn't even use the medium he submitted in! Next time I might bend the rules a bit too!

The new series of #LAOTY starts tomorrow & I was a #WIldcard this year! The only textile artist taking part in heat 4. Producing a stitched landscape in just 4 hours was quite a challenge, especially as my unusual medium drew a lot of interest and questions from the audience! Heat 4 airs at 8pm on 12th Feb, Sky Arts, Freeview ch 36
