Alex<p><a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/kdeplasma6" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>kdeplasma6</span></a> releases in a mere 4 days! </p><p>For those who haven’t been following it, it is not necessarily a massive revamp of the Plasma desktop that *redefines what it means to be a desktop*, but rather a modest quality of life upgrade across the board. From what I can tell, most of the development efforts have gone toward:</p><p>A. Porting the existing software stacks to the new <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/qt" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>qt</span></a> and <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/KDEFrameworks" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>KDEFrameworks</span></a> technologies, and</p><p>B. Polishing, polishing, polishing! We don’t want another Plasma 4!</p><p>I’m excited!</p>
