"Closed due to falling icicle". That's what the red sign says. And yes, even though I had good shoes and the steel walkway had no snow, it had a very thin icy cover which made it somewhat slippery. So, the red sign was the end of the path outside of the #Jungfraujoch building.

Btw., the Alpine chough was behind that sign, so out of reach. We saw another one, which was closer. But there was no food.

The outside of the Jungfraujoch building in rough weather conditions. The front of the building is visible to the right. The steel walkway attached to the building is in the middle part of the picture. The back of the building features a huge steel framed glass part which allows to see a great panorama of the Alps if the weather allows it. Sames goes for the terrace on top of that huge room.

The top part of the buiding. To the left is the pathway which was open half way. The right part was completely closed.

An Alpine chough (Bergdohle) on the outside steel walkway which is attached to the #Jungfraujoch main building. The weather conditions were windy at 33 km/h (20.51 mph or 17.82 knots) at -11°C (12.2°F), so quite cold and not exactly comfortable.

An Alpine chough sitting outside. It is probably used to getting fed from visitors. But at these conditions, the outside walkway is closed and there is no way to feed the bird.

The bird is still watching but then disappears again.

Inside the #Jungfraujoch building. #Snow is piling up at the window from the outside.

A shot from the inside of the Jungfraujoch building to the outside. The picture shows how the snow outside piles up against the window. On the right side, a small part of the outside front is visible. Since visibility is only a few meters due to bad weather conditions, there is no sky but there's only white space from fog and snow.

I wanted to edit some pictures I took on New Year's Eve and saw green colors in the night sky that I didn't see when I was taking the pictures. Turns out, I accidentally photographed northern lights without realizing it until now.

The swiss mountains "Eiger", "Mönch", and "Jungfrau" photographed at night under a starry nightsky. There are some green-ish colors showing in the sky that are hard to see with just a quick glance
