@bbbhltz While selling #jazda.org, I learned the hard way that the price of the hardware is but a small part of what the buyer needs to pay.

#Jazda is making #upstreaming progress. It's now a supported board in #TockOS ! Very bare bones, but I'm working on adding drivers.

The good: Jazda's unique display is amazing when the sun shines on it drectly, and still good in shade (at least to the eye).

The bad: GPS-based speed isn't so accurate under tree canopy.

Also, I need to work on microphone noises.

Cleaning device drivers of cruft is exhausting. Yes, I did replace a rather central pice, but throughout I kept finding mistakes like using bytes instead of bits.

I hope they are gone, but am not expecting it.

Need a break before the inevitable humiliation while testing.

@ericbuijs not sure if you noticed this post by @dcz about the #Jazda bike computer.

The hackable smart watch it's based on is much more powerful than the PineTime. Had I known sooner about the Bangle.js 2 smart watch, I would probably have gotten it rather than the PineTime. It's so troublesome to pair it with my Pinephone that I've basically given up. I only use it as an unconnected watch, along with the heart rate monitor. I'm a bit disappointed.
