Kancept<p>I was originally gonna get an Nvidia A2000 12gb or A4000 ada 20gb but it doesn't seem like the price has been dropping on them in ages. </p><p>Is anyone using the Intel B580 under Linux for AI work, specifically stable diffusion work? It's a sideways move with a downgrade to gaming performance, but holy hell intel's encoders are outstanding.</p><p>On <a href="https://swingset.social/tags/Ubuntu" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Ubuntu</span></a> 24.04, but running kernel 6.12.3, everything running smooth, and I'm in <a href="https://swingset.social/tags/Wayland" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Wayland</span></a>. EVERYTHING WORKS</p><p>except <a href="https://swingset.social/tags/davinciresolve" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>davinciresolve</span></a>, which complains about being out of gpu memory.</p><p>IT IS NOT.</p>

Looks like have hit the limits of the P400’s NVENC transcoder; hit rates below 1.00x for first time... it's put in a few years. </p><p>The P400 RAM usage is about 1 gb with 4 streams, but 100% on encode/decode.
