I am again feeling the urge to start assembling an Infinity army. This happens about once a year. And I have so far never had the presence of mind to actually follow through and start painting minis. Perhaps ADHD meds I recently started taking help with that, this time around.
Anyway, here's the definitive tidbit of Infinity world building that cemented my love of it.

Mathematicians talking about "infinity is not a number" are infinitely annoying. They successfully explain the different kinds of "infinity" that you can talk about, but for some reason always start out with "infinity is not a number" as if what is colloquially referred to as "infinity" maps exactly to that concept, which it obviously doesn’t. You should pick up on the specific concept of infinity being alluded to and explain that there are others.
My mind has been boggled. I had just about got my mind around orders of infinity when I heard that there are also orders of infinitesimal.
Not only that but despite the (lowest order) infinitesimal being defined as lower than the lowest real number there are an infinite number of "numbers" within the bound; reciprocals of hyper-reals!
Common sense and intuition get left behind.
I finished up this lounge/gentleman's club/bar from #FlatlineCity yesterday. I decided to keep the supports in the main doorway and paint them up as if they're some sort of scanner. I pretty heavily weathered the back and on side, leaving the front and the side entrance a little cleaner, figuring they get washed more frequently.
