dick_turpin<p>So I had a 2nd HyperPixel screen sitting in my treasure box and fitted it to my Pi5 running on an NVME M.2. Everything is OK apart from getting a case for it, which will be impossible given it's now the size of a small tower block!<br><a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/raspberrypi5" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>raspberrypi5</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/nvmeboard" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>nvmeboard</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/hyperpixel" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>hyperpixel</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.org.uk/tags/pimoroni" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>pimoroni</span></a></p>
lambtor<p>I finally managed to finish some refinements to my <a href="https://cyberplace.social/tags/pimoroni" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>pimoroni</span></a> <a href="https://cyberplace.social/tags/hyperpixel" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>hyperpixel</span></a> build using a <a href="https://cyberplace.social/tags/raspberrypi" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>raspberrypi</span></a> . front buttons for left/right mouse clicks are working, and the button caps aren't floating around anymore. The back now screws in flush to the front of the <a href="https://cyberplace.social/tags/3dprinting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>3dprinting</span></a> case.</p><p>I'm not a "content creator". I've done a couple crude demo videos for other builds, but I don't know what people want to see in these things.</p>
Vincent<p>Over the last week, I wanted to setup a simple control deck on a <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/RaspberryPi" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>RaspberryPi</span></a> 4 with a <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Pimoroni" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Pimoroni</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/HyperPixel" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>HyperPixel</span></a> display that would allow me to play various internet radio!</p><p>Well, I was strugling to get anything but a very basic stop and start worrking.</p><p>I then stumbled code from <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.social/@blogmywiki" class="u-url mention">@<span>blogmywiki</span></a></span> from back in 2017. </p><p>Amazingly with only a few tweaks I got it working.</p><p>I have added some stuff to his code to show the currently playing track and with the help ofv <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Copilot" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Copilot</span></a>, the volume controls work!<br /><a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Python" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Python</span></a></p>
Vincent<p>More details added to my <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/ModBros" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>ModBros</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/HyperPixel" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>HyperPixel</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/RaspberryPi" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>RaspberryPi</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/PC" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>PC</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Monitoring" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Monitoring</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/tool" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>tool</span></a></p>
Vincent<p>So, finding myself with time on my hands today. I have taken a look at the new (currerntly Patreon only) version of ModBros <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Hardware" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Hardware</span></a> monitoring tool.</p><p>That&#39;s my current dash and it show on a wireless Raspberry Pi with a <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Pimoroni" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Pimoroni</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/HyperPixel" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>HyperPixel</span></a> screen.</p><p><a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/ModBros" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>ModBros</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/HardwareMonitoring" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>HardwareMonitoring</span></a></p>
Phil Haigh<p>Progress!! Here’s my Raspberry <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/Pi" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Pi</span></a> Zero W 2 / <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/HyperPixel" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>HyperPixel</span></a> mash-up in pictures <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/3DPrinting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>3DPrinting</span></a> - 1/n</p>
Phil Haigh<p>Started a 3D print at lunchtime, quite excited for when it finishes, I’ll have almost completed my design for a case for the <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/HyperPixel" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>HyperPixel</span></a> round display with <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/Pi" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Pi</span></a> Zero 2, LiPo and charging adapter, so you can move it from place to place without losing power. LiPo is only about 4Wh so you’re probably limited to about 30 mins without external power.</p>
Ronan<p>For this year I'm hoping I can assemble one of these things:<br>(this will require getting a Raspberry Pi Zero and one of these cool round screens, and a 3d printed case from somewhere, but hopefully I could assemble it with my rudimentary, no-soldering needed, skills). The round screen looks really nice..<br><a href="https://mastodon.sdf.org/tags/raspberrypi" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>raspberrypi</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.sdf.org/tags/pizero" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>pizero</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.sdf.org/tags/hyperpixel" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>hyperpixel</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.sdf.org/tags/2023projects" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>2023projects</span></a></p>
