Have any Cluster F#CK by #doublemountainbrewing laying around in your fridge? Drink it!
More on #doublemountainbrewing Cluster F#CK
Out of the bottle, Cluster F#CK produces a hefty amount of off-white head, resting on a clear pool of gold. Receding, there remains a blanket of lacing on the surface, along with some jagged curtains of lacing inside the glass.
Swirling and sniffing, we recover notes of tropical citrus, grapefruit, orange peel, and some pine.
Sipping, we greeted by orange and grapefruit citrus, tropical citrus, and some caramel, before taking a hit to the face with dank pine resin bitterness. Overall, Cluster F#CK has a medium to strong mouthfeel, a definite alcoholic warmth, and a lingering bitterness punctuated by stickiness.

More on Bright West by @fermentbrewing.
Out of the can, Bright West produces a hefty-amount of head, resting on a crystal clear pool of dark gold. Receding, there remains an antique curtain of lacing inside the glass.
Swirling and sniffing, we recover notes of cooking spice, tropical and orange citrus, some stone fruit and gooseberries.
Sipping, most of those notes are present along with some pine and caramel. Overall, Bright West has a medium mouthfeel on the palate, noticeable alcoholic warmth, and pine resin finish that lingers for a bit on the palate.

Going way back for today’s #FieldworkFriday. Here’s me and my eldest child doing field work downstream of Elliot Glacier on Mt. Hood, #Oregon. Our project focused on how #climatechange was affecting #streamflow from catchments with #glaciers. But a Debris Flow made a mess of one our sites! Rain on snow & ice sitting on unstable weathered volcanic rock produced pretty spectacular #geomorphology in action.
