mj<p>Back on the wheel after a hiatus for back pain. I'm spinning up the Femininomenon batt from Fossil Fibers - my first time spinning from a batt! I don't have a plan, just going with it. I'm not normally into this shade of green but it's giving 90s Nickelodeon and it's so. Soft. Elizenery<p>Plied the hemp and boiled it for an hour in water with some soda and dish soap. The photo was made when wet. It dried and still feels sticky, so I'll boil it again. Elizenery<p>This year's crafting while <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/BicycleTouring" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>BicycleTouring</span></a> - an actual Tour de France. 1800+ km of cycling, so not much crafting time. <br>Did some spinning on my cross spindle. Learned to spin with a DIY supported spindle. Will definitely buy a proper one to explore this technique more. And knitted the lace yoke of a sweater with a fine bouclé yarn from Japan. It's lace and bunched up on the needle, so not very visible. This is 83 grams of 12 wpi (sport - fingering) blended polwarth, kid mohair, and angora rabbit. I made rolags on my blending board. Next time, I will diz the rolags to predraft them. I've got it divided into 2 41 gram balls, a ready to <a href="https://masto.ai/tags/knit" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>knit</span></a>. It's a gorgeous, natural linen color, no dye, and soooooffftt! MarieLouise<p>Tour de Fleece day 21, 22 and 23. Finished the light green, plyed 100 gram of Veluws Heideschaap and almost finished 15 gram of apple green. The TdF has ended but I have another 6 colours to go. And after that every little turtle has to be plyed. I just don't feel up to it. So naturally, I have been bitten by an obsessive <a href="https://masto.ai/tags/handspinning" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>handspinning</span></a> bug, and am starting on my fourth skein of fractal spun <a href="https://masto.ai/tags/yarn" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>yarn</span></a>. These are the rolags and fragments of rolags I just finished spinning. Don't they look like carrots? BFL and silk, dyed with kool-aid. I'll show the yarn tomorrow after it dries.</p>
