The real problem here is the <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Hamline" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Hamline</a> administration’s response, their quick demonization of their faculty and the gleeful way they (as has been the case for a while now at that university and others) seize on student complaints to pit students against faculty. They don’t care that they are undermining <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/AcademicFreedom" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#AcademicFreedom</a>, or threatening an entire discipline of scholarly inquiry. They want to disempower faculty and will do what it takes.
