Fell<p>My left Nintendo Switch Joy-Con is drifting so bad that I keep dying in Breath pf the Wild. Very frustrating. I barely even played that much! It seems it's just a matter of old age instead of wear and tear.</p><p>Anyways, I found out that an entire iFixit pro tech toolkit and two new hall effect joysticks are just slightly more expensive than a pair of new joy-cons. So I went for the more sustainable option. Would you like to see photos/videos of the repair?</p><p><a href="https://ma.fellr.net/tags/nintendo" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>nintendo</span></a> <a href="https://ma.fellr.net/tags/switch" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>switch</span></a> <a href="https://ma.fellr.net/tags/joycon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>joycon</span></a> <a href="https://ma.fellr.net/tags/joycons" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>joycons</span></a> <a href="https://ma.fellr.net/tags/joycondrift" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>joycondrift</span></a> <a href="https://ma.fellr.net/tags/repair" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>repair</span></a> <a href="https://ma.fellr.net/tags/ifixit" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ifixit</span></a> <a href="https://ma.fellr.net/tags/halleffect" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>halleffect</span></a> <a href="https://ma.fellr.net/tags/halleffectthumbstick" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>halleffectthumbstick</span></a></p>
blackknight95857669<p>I now have 3 Hall Effect Dual Senses. This one was a challenge, thanks to Sony's constant revisions. Got the eBay Purple one today. Wanted to just stick the board into my OG white one, but the insides were different enough I had to swap the entire guts over. Then I realized the R1 buttons weren't the same. After putting it together the 1st time, noticed the charge port had moved. Got all that sorted and sticks calibrated (see alt text). Tested, no drift. 😎 <a href="https://social.linux.pizza/tags/DIY" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DIY</span></a> <a href="https://social.linux.pizza/tags/Tech" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Tech</span></a> <a href="https://social.linux.pizza/tags/DualSense" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DualSense</span></a> <a href="https://social.linux.pizza/tags/HallEffect" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>HallEffect</span></a></p>
