@bhyoram A lot of Linux-Android glue logic is missing. #Pipewire also doesn't have a #droidmedia plugin to access cameras on #Halium devices.

I finally got around to writing about another #LinuxMobile device. I was originally going to do the pinephone pro but I decided to wait for 6.11 so I can include the new camera driver. Instead I tested the @furilabs #flx1 . Its been a great phone and is one of the best working linux phones I've tested. It does have caveats so its not perfect for everyone. Biggest is US support is limited until they release new modem firmware soon:TM:. Its also #halium based. https://blog.luigi311.com/furilabs-flx1/
Lilbits: Furi FLX1 Linux smartphone, Tile’s new Bluetooth trackers, and Haiki OS R1 Beta 5
The Furi FLX1 is a $499 smartphone from with a 6.6 inch FHD+ 120 Hz IPS LCD display, a MediaTek Dimensity 900 processor, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a 50MP primary camera. Basically it has the specs of a mid-range Android phone, but instead of Android this phone ships with a Linux-based operating system called Furi OS.
First introduced earlier this year, the phone had limited support […]
Also doch zurück zu Plan A? MiA1 oder kleiner als "mini-Gerät"/Hotspot UND mini-PC zusätzlich?
I just installed UBports otherwise known as Ubuntu Touch.
It's so weird. I thought it's Linux, and it kind of is, but not really. The app store has none of your classic Linux apps let alone Ubuntu packages. It's all web apps, which is fine I guess?
You can install X11 applications through a container system called Libertine.
It's very polished, though. Performance is good, animations are smooth, and the Camera works!
@FLOSS_Weekly @JP_Bennett @dsearls Would be great if you could also interview the #Droidian dev who launched the #FLX1 Linux mobile phone recently.
Lindroid is an Android app that lets you run Linux in a container, with support for hardware-acceleration
Lindroid is a new open source app that lets you install a GNU/Linux distro on an Android device and run Linux applications with full support for your phone’s hardware.
It does this by putting Linux into a container and using technologies like Halium to enable support for hardware-accelerated graphics and other hardware on Android […]
#Halium "Linux" phone vendors build a phone without unethically cheap factory labour and unmaintainable mediatek SoCs challenge: Impossible.
#LinuxOnMobile update: Meet #Droidian, a Debian-based Linux distro for Android devices. It's addressing the challenges of existing distros and supports most phone functions. Available for 25 devices officially/unofficially. Join the community, let's shape the future of mobile Linux!

Serait-ce un problème de cohérence de partition firmware (slot inactif) ? Pourrait-il être résolu par la solution propropsée par #LineageOS ?
Could it be a firmware partition consistency problem (inactive slot)? Could it be solved by the solution provided by LineageOS?

The installation, after downgrading Android to version 9, is done normally with Ubports installer (too bad you can't get img/zip for an installation via fastboot/adb).

Viel Spaß!
@Tay0 If I remeber correctly there were two available apps, but one of them was designed for special instance and the other one looked exactly like the web app.
Well I ended up switching to #droidian (#mobian and #halium) because I prefer running real linux applications and I've always loved #phosh.
Using #tootle now
Jozef Mlich has written another great progress report for #NemoMobile, which now runs on #halium devices too (and not just the #PinePhone):
