But nowadays the iPhone creates <a href="https://mastodon.nl/tags/HEVC" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#HEVC</a> format .MOV files and his Sony Vegas software doesn't read them right. Now according to many, many sites you need to install the <a href="https://mastodon.nl/tags/HEIF" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#HEIF</a> extension. He done that, but still his HEVC videos show as solid green in Sony Vegas. Any idea how to solve this? Otherwise my father wants to buy a Mac. I'm not against that, but it's a rather big investment for such a small problem.

Well, I'm replacing my aging iPhone 11 Pro Max with its 12MP camera with an iPhone 15 Pro Max with its --48MP-- camera.
