Rudie V.<p>Really intrigued by the new Boss Rotary Ensemble; heard a demo of it by itself and then also hooked up to a few other Boss pedals like their Tremolo, Chorus, and Vibrato, all of which sounded amazing with it. <br><a href="https://musicians.today/tags/Guitar" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Guitar</span></a> <a href="https://musicians.today/tags/GuitarPedals" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>GuitarPedals</span></a> <a href="https://musicians.today/tags/GuitarGear" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>GuitarGear</span></a></p>

Misery Path<p>Well, really good news!!! Got the message that my HM2 is ready 🤘🎸</p><p><a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/diy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>diy</span></a> <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/guitargear" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>guitargear</span></a> <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/gearsquad" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>gearsquad</span></a></p>
Misery Path<p>So, I sprayed clear coat 3 times today. Now it has to dry through, then the interior can come.<br>Sure, there are a few small dust inclusions in the clear coat. But I'm not going to sand them down any more, they're not that obvious. Cutting the holes for the foot switch and the LED also turned out to be a bit difficult. The edge isn't quite perfect either.<br>But hey, I have my very individual HM2 and that is amazing!!! 🥳🎉</p><p><a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/diy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>diy</span></a> <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/guitargear" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>guitargear</span></a> <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/gearsquad" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>gearsquad</span></a></p>
Misery Path<p>The white decal paper did the job 🥳🎉</p><p>So now only the clear coat needs to be done 😎</p><p><a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/diy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>diy</span></a> <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/guitargear" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>guitargear</span></a> <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/gearsquad" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>gearsquad</span></a></p>
Misery Path<p>Labeling of the knobs is done 😄</p><p><a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/diy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>diy</span></a> <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/guitargear" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>guitargear</span></a> <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/gearsquad" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>gearsquad</span></a></p>
Misery Path<p>That's the draft for the Labels. I think ver 3 will be the way to go.</p><p><a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/diy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>diy</span></a> <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/guitargear" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>guitargear</span></a> <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/gearsquad" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>gearsquad</span></a></p>
Misery Path<p>Okay, that doesn't work, the foil isn't thick enough... 😥</p><p>Ideas anyone?</p><p><a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/diy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>diy</span></a> <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/guitargear" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>guitargear</span></a> <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/gearsquad" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>gearsquad</span></a></p>
Misery Path<p>Well it looks quite nice. Yes, not completely plain but that would nearly impossible for me to achieve.</p><p>Next step is the decal foil. But not today.</p><p><a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/diy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>diy</span></a> <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/guitargear" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>guitargear</span></a> <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/gearsquad" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>gearsquad</span></a></p>
Misery Path<p>After I went over it again with the primer, everything was fine.<br>Then I sprayed three coats of blue. The result is nice, unfortunately I have an ugly inclusion on the front again. I'll sand it down very carefully and spray a fourth time. Then the enclosure can rest for now, I have other things to do today.</p><p><a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/diy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>diy</span></a> <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/guitargear" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>guitargear</span></a> <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/gearsquad" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>gearsquad</span></a></p>
Misery Path<p>So, the defect is gone, but I actually got to the metal in one place. So I sprayed some primer again.</p><p><a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/diy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>diy</span></a> <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/guitargear" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>guitargear</span></a> <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/gearsquad" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>gearsquad</span></a></p>
Misery Path<p>The primer looks very good so far. However, there is this small imperfection (fourth picture) that bothers me. I assume that there are also small imperfections or inclusions in the colored paint and the clear coat. That's why I want to sand it down again in this step. Hopefully I won't get through to the bare metal again.</p><p><a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/diy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>diy</span></a> <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/guitargear" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>guitargear</span></a> <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/gearsquad" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>gearsquad</span></a></p>
Misery Path<p>I have now printed the final design on decal foil. As you can see, my printer messed up and I can't use 2 of the 4 designs. Well, in the end I only need one, the rest was intended as a backup.</p><p><a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/diy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>diy</span></a> <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/guitargear" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>guitargear</span></a> <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/gearsquad" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>gearsquad</span></a></p>
Misery Path<p>It's time to do the design for the DIY HM2 pedal. 🤘 I will document the whole process here.</p><p>I have already sanded the enclosure to remove some burrs.</p><p>Now two layers of base coat are done. Maybe I'll do a third one but I'll wait until tomorrow and have a closer look how it turned out.</p><p><a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/diy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>diy</span></a> <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/guitargear" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>guitargear</span></a> <a href="https://metalhead.club/tags/gearsquad" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>gearsquad</span></a></p>
