Maybe I am going in circles. I wrote this 20 years ago while getting London Commons up and running. I was ambitious! Most of those plans fell through but we did have a thriving local community site for several years until it eventually failed.
Hopefully I'm a little wiser now. I must have learned at least something…

The website is also a Git repo, the software is a combo of #ikiwiki and #Forgejo.
Taotech aspires to be a spiritual successor to TAO communications and London Commons that will tend spaces both physical and online.

It's great to see more protests on display although the big question is can they keep this up every week and better, every day?
Also, will these people organize and convince people to get involved in grassroots projects towards electing younger people to public office since it's badly needed?
Otherwise, all of this time would be for naught.

In the US that means 11.9 million people in the streets with pitchforks.
If #biden aiding #genocide was a wake up call, #trump is a bucket of cold water poured on a sleeping society.

I just found out that one of my favourite grassroots activists support funds found its way to mastodon: Het Actiefonds.
Based in the Netherlands they unbureaucratically support brave (informal) initiatives all over the globe that otherwise often have trouble finding funds.
