Took me 20 minutes to migrate my Kitty configuration to Ghostty https://ghostty.org . I really like the globally available Terminal overlay that I can easily toggle, also the native MacOS secure input integration and the better splits management. Was a fun way to also learn them all. Many, especially the splitting (#tmux) ones, will be mighty useful.

And for sure I am surprised how much I enjoy learning about how challenging it can be for developers, about something I before thought should be easy.
For me a great lesson I'm sure will deliver lots of value for many other things to come, on my journey trying to code the idea I'm working on.
I love how #ghostty allows me to split the terminal however I want without relying on another tool like tmux, screen, zellij, or something similar.

#ghostty is kind of neat and all, but GPU-accelerated terminals work a lot better when the GPU isn't already 96% busy.
It just gets *laggy*.
I'm trying out this new terminal you guys may have heard of #ghostty! Shieet!! The fuck is going on with terminals. It took be 20 minutes to figure out how to change my keyboard shortcuts!

Got really far with #Neovim in #Ghostty 
Over the weekend I also got #Python LSP working and I really like how it looks. Thus far I use default color schemes, only a nice #NerdFonts installed.
Task now is to figure out how to make it show the dependencies aren't installed for this project. That is the main thing, I know of now, that is not showing yet.
Going back to #vscode is only looking less likely - this is simply so much more enjoyable for me already 
Okay, I installed #Ghostty now.
Not sure yet what the advantages are compared to Konsole for example..

Because was under the impression I would have to compile from source for Ubuntu to get a recent version.
I'm really starting to enjoy my journey from reinstalling 24.04 LTS and going #neovim for coding. It is starting to feel so good and homie the more I get it configured and making it come alive.
Almost at the point to start coding. Can't wait for the weekend for two days of really test driving

That's an advantage of Alacritty, Kitty, Wezterm, etc. - they don't depend on GTK.

Basically, let the terminal know the type of pointer device which generated a mouse event. This would enable better scrolling on touchpads, touchscreens, etc.
