FWIW I have the regular OpenSuSE-built version of siril installed as well. So I thought I'd use zypper source-install to bring in all that version's dependencies.

Not the most consistent experience I've ever seen either.

So I had to work my way through doing a zypper se as well as zypper in for *every* sodding siril dependency.

I don't think I've ever seen such a freaking *MESS* as OpenSuSE's package naming scheme.
Trying to build Siril from git source. Need lots of -devel versions of packages. But do they have the same name as the binaries / tools versions? Do they heck.
Two particularly illogical examples included.

Bloody shockingly awful.

Don't use OpenSuSE as a build environment if you value your sanity with inconsistent package naming schemes.

Hard to argue that the #SNP can still claim to be a progressive Party now the full panoply of religious wing nuts and bigots have exposed themselves since Sturgeon resigned for no visible reason, dumping her Party and the country right in it.

Not sure populist ‘resentment politics’ is the correct prescription the SNP’s self inflicted ills, though…
