SoerenPellmannNie wieder ist jetzt Am 15. Juli 1937 begannen unter dem NS-Regime die Bauarbeiten für das Konzentrationslager Buchenwald. Zehntausende Menschen wurden dort gefoltert, ermordet und entrechtet, weil sie jüdisch waren, politisch anders dachten, Roma und Sinti, homosexuell, krank oder als „asozial“ gebrandmarkt wurden. Pro PeaceHeute jährte sich zum 30. Mal der Völkermord von Srebenica. Damals ermordeten bosnisch-serbische Einheiten 8.372 muslimische Männer und Jungen. Spender*innen und Mitarbeitende von Pro Peace haben Solidaritätsbotschaften an die Mütter von Srebrenica verfasst. Heute wehten sie an einem 10 m langen Solidaritätsband im Wind auf dem Gelände des niederländischen UN-Bataillons in Potočari, wo die Menschen damals vergeblich Schutz gesucht hatten. Heute ist auf dem Gelände ein Gedenkzentrum, in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Friedhof.
