webcubus<p>UPDATE: There is an issue with the filter wheel where it leaves the IR LED (used to confirm filter position I believe) on. This effectively created a light leak on every sub/flat/dark/bias. ToupTek has a firmware update that fixes the issue and I can confirm that my flats look drastically different after the update. I think I'm going to have to toss all of the frames I've captured so far, but I'll report back after imaging tonight.</p><p>Hello astro friends! I could use your help with some troubleshooting. I just got a new ToupTek ATR585M mono camera and I'm unable to get my flats to work properly. Without flats, I can faintly see the dust and with flats, they show up very prominently. I have tried a bunch of different ADUs. I wrote up a blog post to show the issue because the flat overlay is the best way to demonstrate the issue. cetan<p>I picked up a GearAid Hero Clip for travel recently and highly recommend it. It has a very specific travel use-case for me but obviously this can be used all over. It's a carabineer with a rotating hook attached. Folds up to the size of a regular carabineer with a little more width. If you need to hook a backpack or non-wheeled travel bag on, say, an airport bathroom door stall, this is fantastic. NerotiskNostalgia pt 4: This was the second studio we had in <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/Bhuset?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Bhuset</a> at <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/InstitutForX?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#InstitutForX</a> the setup was pretty basic, though we did get hold of the old <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/soundcraft?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#soundcraft</a> mixer used at The Danish Opera house in <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/copenhagen?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#copenhagen</a>... The state of it was pretty bad, but the channels that did work sounded great👌👍😅Fun fact – we had sound engineer from Ghana, fixing it at one point. He used a magic combo of motoroil and sunscreen, which did actually work for a while... Though the smell was grim🤣😱😅<br>

It's a strobe that flashes red, green, blue, red/blue, or UV. This is a must-have if you're working around helicopters in the mountains. It mounts on your helmet, on a pack strap, etc and recharges via USB -C. This one is made by Nitecore</p>
