OK, back to my stroll pictures, which took place February 27th. Just a random abstract from the playground. Actually the shot was, again, shot from waist level without looking at the camera, but I'm kinda happy with the result! I didn't notice the composition or anything till I sorted out the images when I got back home. Even though it is also processed in HDR, but I didn't go berserk with tone-mapping and stuck to normalcy here.<br>

In what world—leaving aside the political stupidity and idiosyncrasy of “arms embargo” as a demand—in what world do you think that a party moving heaven and earth for nearly a year now to keep the genocide at full roar, hand over fist tearing up its own supposedly cherished framework of international law in the process, is ever going to give you pipsqueaks literally any kind of concession? What fucking leverage do you think you have to force one? Because you’re going to stamp your little feet really hard until they do? Because (in your absolute best-case scenario) they might at some point begin to feel some vague disquiet about their poll numbers in Michigan?</p><p>Biden was willing for his reelection to go down in flames for the sake of the genocide because HIS PARTY is willing to go down in flames. It wasn’t some pathology uniquely Joe’s own. Nothing has changed. They threw Joe over (with uncharacteristic despatch) for someone who looks less like a melting Madame Tussaud’s figure on the off chance they could keep them both, the genocide and the presidency. That’s all. Harris is no more moveable on this than Biden. If there were any remote chance she was, they wouldn’t have given her the big chair.</p><p>You don’t end a genocide by winning concessions from the genociders. It’s break-shit time. You can make them uncomfortable, you can make them chafe, you can maybe expose some of their bad faith to the few people likely to be paying attention. But absent connection with an actual movement, absent a mass effort to meaningfully disrupt the smooth deathward grinding of the state, maybe lay off the self-congratulation. Your protest isn’t much more than a form of preening.</p>
