I've read a little about how #Trump will justify using the national guard across state borders by saying the presence of immigrants is a foreign invasion.
It reminds me of how GW Bush called prisoners of war "unlawful combatants" in a never ending war on terror so that they could be imprisoned for life.
#GWBush really doesn't get enough credit for ending the rule of law in the US.
PS: note the prisoners in Guantanamo...Obama, Trump I and Biden all agree the US is in a war on terror.

@markmetz It hasn't "often" happened by a landslide but has happened twice in the past 24 years when #HClinton lost to #Drumpf in 2016 & #Gore lost to #GWBush in 2000 despite Clinton & Gore getting about 2-3% more of the popular vote but getting fewr #ElectoralCollege votes. 
That's the system the "founding fathers" stuck us with to give more electoral power to smaller states. It "should be reformed & there have been calls to do that but there isn't sufficient political "will" to get it done, at least not likely in our lifetime. 
I feel anxious before the next #abcdebate. I'm hoping that #Trump continues to babble incoherently when I remember #GWBush 's debate performances. He clearly wasn't senile, but would rarely answer a question intelligently, often offering a religious tinged jingoistic response that communicated emotion without actually stating anything.
If 50% of America voted for him, I guess it shouldn't be a surprise if we elect Trump.
I should add that W, while always a disappointment to his father, has taken that to a new level by lacking the courage to defend his country from a wannabe dictator more psychotic than even Dick Cheney. I'm happy for George H.W. that he didn't have to live to see this.
Now who'd have thought that George W Bush would turn out to be a cowardly feckless sad excuse for a man who'd desperately cling to a hopeless dream of someday regaining acceptance in a GOP that long ago labeled him a RINO and wants nothing do do with him? As POTUS he was happy to let Dick Cheney take charge, but when "The Dick" does one thing based on a principle higher than "enrich my friends" W won't risk tagging along. Pathetic
