Dhyan Nada :vegananarchism:<p>Buckle up for a hot ride through the desert once known as European civilization!</p><p>The acceleration of increasing average temperatures is especially high in Western Europe, one of the most industrialized and densely populated regions on the planet. <br>At the same time the reserves of drinkable water shrink even there, where people just recently couldn't image to life with drought most of the year. </p><p>Extreme weather events like sudden rainfalls of catastrophic proportions just add to the picture of spikes that can't counterbalance themselves because the momentary effects of flooding are much more destructive than they could be of a lasting benefical effect. </p><p>At the same time there is only very little political effort under way to fulfill the promises made in Paris 2015 mitigating climate change.</p><p>It's the other way round - today the economic and military competition between nation states has taken center stage <br>producing waste and destruction big time<br>while gobbling up financial ressourses that once were adressed to be spent for socially and internationally just climate politiics. </p><p>So the desert will be our home even in regions once deemed to be safe from the effects of rising global temperatures. Tinker ☀️<p>Alright! Site plan for the new free fridge is completed. They're laying down a concrete slab and really setting this up! This host has received a generous donation and is actually spending money on setting up a free fridge. I love it!</p><p>Next steps will be getting an electrician to come out and put in some outlets. Need to check with the county to see if we need building permits as we're laying down concrete and putting up a little structure to protect against sun and rain.</p><p>The host is VERY excited and is eager to get this built in the next couple of months.</p><p>And new great news!
