GMjtis<p>I think this is because <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/chess960" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>chess960</span></a> is doubly exciting live, but afterwards it is hard for a <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/chess" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>chess</span></a> player to relate to the games when they have no opening relevance as an artifact, despite them being so fascinating as they unfold. Fairly sure this is why many don't see the point of the variant. But this will change when <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/FischerRandom" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>FischerRandom</span></a> becomes normal...</p>
GMjtis<p>Quite depressing when the big boys manage to make <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/chess960" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>chess960</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/FischerRandom" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>FischerRandom</span></a> 'freestyle' look as stodgy as good old <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/classical" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>classical</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/chess" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>chess</span></a>. At least there's always a new position next time...</p>

But I have very little desire to play through most of the games afterwards...</p>
